I went to this store today I was never so embarrassed and humiliated in my life! I bought a piece of Italian jewelry that I'd previously taken to two other jewelers each offered a very fair price! This guy (a chubby man) took my jewelry out of my hand and ""pretended"" to scratch the surface of my jewelry and sought of threw it back at me and said ""Its not real"" are you kidding me!! I believe it was because my husband was a black and we weren't dressed the part as people who would have that piece of jewelry. He doesn't know he passed up a great customer I buy lots of jewelry and high-end pieces. Read the book before you judge it! more

Bait and Switch? 8/14/2012

Was not happy with my visit to this new Jewelry store in Grayson. Went in to have battery in watch replaced, that should be simple right? They installed battery that worked about 5 hours. Returned and then they informed me the movement was bad and would cost 60 dollars to replace..Went to another store that replaced battery, that they had taken out by the way, and it has worked beautifilly ever since.I will not return ever and will tell this story again.I now have heard of several complaints from people that were not happy with the way they were treated. They have customer service issues, would never do any buisness with them again.Buyer Beware! more

Joe Kalish, his wife Beth Kalish, and his family are very nice people and very fair. They offer good deals on jewelry and jewelry repairs. However, on 6/22/2012 at around 2 o'clock, I had a bizarre experience. I brought some gold to sell and was quoted a price of $1620. I asked if I could shop around a few other places, he said that was fine and that the offer would be good until the end of the day, provided the price of gold didn't fluctuate too much. The price of gold stayed the same, actually increased slightly, and I returned to collect the $1620. He asked if anyone else offered more, I said no. So he said his offer had dropped to $1550. I found that to be a baffling and insulting buyer's tactic. When I asked why he dropped the price by $70 dollars in less than 2 hours, Joe claimed it was because his wife was the boss and changed the offer. Huh? It was an obvious, shiesty attempt to undercut me and get it cheaper. Very strange. And out-of-character for them. He then called my cellphone to tell me they wouldn't be interested in doing business with me, then in the course of the conversation, instantly recanted. Very, very strange. Needless to say, I didn't sell the gold and will probably not return again. No hard feelings, though. Business is business. They're still a great jewelry store. -Joel Quinn, Tri-Star Pharmaceuticals more

Worst ""jewelry store"" ever. 3/15/2012

When i was looking for a engagement ring for my girlfriend, there was this family standing waiting to pick up something and one of the little boys touched the glass. You would of thought the world was coming to an end! the fat guy - possibly the manager -was astonished that the boy literally just TOUCHED the glass! Horrible way to attract costumers, I immediately left. I would not recommend this place for ANYONE. more

Top Rated Jeweler! 2/28/2012

I walked into this store after reading the other review (Bait & Switch). So I was kind of nervous in not knowing quite what to expect, but they were friendly as soon as I walked in. I came needing a watch battery changed for only $1.99! I have a LOT of watches, so to me, this is an awesome price. I have no idea what the other person is talking about because they changed 6 of my watch batteries and each one worked. I came back to sell some of my old, broken jewelry. I wanted to be smart and get the most money for my gold so i shopped around. And the owner offered me so much more money than what anyone else offered. I ended up coming back with more gold and ended up having them melt it and custom design me a pendent created from my mother's old jewelry and diamonds. She recently passed away and I didn't know what to do with her gold, because I don't have the same taste as her. SO! I was able to keep the sentimental value of the diamonds and gold, but able to wear it with the designs that I personally love. It was a win win for all and I wear my necklace every day. I am very happy that I now have a jeweler close to home that I can fully trust! more
