I hadnt heard of this place, and now i know why! I sat waiting for my food for 45 minutes....that was just for my bread, even when there was only 2 other couples in the undersized restaurant. When i finaly recieved my food, they brought me the wrong thing. I have never been more disgusted about a restaurant in my life. I walked into the bathroom and saw feces on the toilet rim.\r save yourself the money and trauma Pros: Nice salt shakers! Cons: bad food, poor service, dirty bathrooms more

HORRIBLE 4/16/2009

The service there was horrible. The waiter was extremely rude and had body odor. And on top of that they charged me for food I did not order and refused to take it off of my bill. The food seemed like it was slapped onto the plate from a vat. I don't think I have ever had such disgusting Middle Eastern food in my life. I have gone to many other Middle Eastern restaurants and even the worst surpass this one. MANY OTHERS TO CHOOSE FROM...DON'T EAT HERE! Pros: wish i could find some Cons: everything more

Best Middle Eastern food in Metro Detroit 3/5/2008

Grapeleaves is a great place for carry-out during their lunch hour rush or to sit down with a friend or for a meeting. Their hommous is absolutely the best I've ever had at any Middle Eastern restaurant, the falafel sandwiches are ridiculously cheap ($3.45) and, well, just talking about them makes me salivate like Pavlov's dogs. As a vegetarian, I recommend these choices along with the vegetarian grapeleaves, lentil kibbee, mujadara, their fresh and zesty fattoush and the crushed lentil soup. The smoothies are superb, the servers are quick and generous with the pita and my friend from Iraq says the baba ghanooj is the best she's had here in the states. Grapeleaves is the only restaurant I've ever been borderline addicted to. Pros: Pretty much everything. Cons: Strip mall location. more

Small family restaurant delivers big time 3/7/2006

If you've never tried Middle Eastern food, try the sampler platter first. It has such a variety and is SO good, you'll never be wary of trying new dishes here afterwards. The hummous is creamy, the shwarma is divine. And the portions are excellent. I eat here at least twice a month, it's so good. Pros: Excellent Food, Good Value, Good Parking more
