I was a first time granite shopper and with so many colors and options, I was very worried about the whole process, but the sales staff at IGS know there product and with there cool technology - it came out really well. Here a few things I would say about International Granite & Stone. - Their price was very competitive. - They were on top of everything (as far as i could tell) - Very organized. - Great selection of material. - Does what they said they would do. - Cool Technology - They let me see how the material would layout in a virtual program. - Did good work. - Finished on time and I would highly recommend them. pros: - They sell the slabs & fabricate in-house, eliminates some extra running around. - Decent selection of materials. - Reputation for doing good work (mine has not been installed yet, so we'll see!) -Technology I have to say impressive, part of the reason why I went with them. cons: They are busy (they need about one week advanced notice just to schedule a measurement appointment) My kitchen designer warned me about them, said don't use them because of the difficulties of scheduling/lead time. ** update ** ok, ok, I guess I was a little hard on them. Added an extra star b/c they did do a great job with our countertops. It took them 2 weeks to install (after they measured). The technology they use makes it nearly impossible to screw up, which is very reassuring when you're spending that much $$. There were no seams that the human eye could detect, it was flawless. I happen to passed by this store in Odessa last month. I was remodeling my kitchen and thinking of a stone countertop. Very please with the service. Its a huge store and people there were very nice and professional. The price was great too. Although I wasn't in a rush to get the countertop done. But they were able to finish the job from measurement to installation in a week. I was quite impressed by the quick turnaround. my friend was telling me she was waiting for her countertop to be done for a month from a smaller store. So I was very please with their stone quality and the service. I don't cook alot :) so the countertop is still looking great and brand new, but I am sure its going to last for a long time. Thank You! I called International Granite Stone (via referral) on a saturday at 11 am because I decided I wanted granite countertops. Everyone said it was impossible for 7 day turn around. I showed up there picked my counter tops and by next Saturday at 3pm they sent someone to my house to install it. I rarely write reviews even though I rely on others when making choices for myself and my business. However, my experience with IGS was soooo poor, I would really like to save others the same time and hassle that I had to deal with. \r \r We originally purchased our countertops from Ikea in Tampa since we heard they used IGS and they were reputable. The man there from IGS was friendly and he told me that they require a deposit and then they would have someone to do my measurements within 2-3 busines days then he assured that we would have them installed 2-3 weeks max. \r \r Needless to say it has now been 4 weeks and I have no countertops and none are in sight. It took 11 days for the template, another 9 days for the template to be sent to me for approval, 2 more days for them to get the template corrected (the first they sent was significantly overstated) and then supposedly we were to have countertops installed today, 4 weeks later.\r \r We never received phone calls- we were left to track them down and beg for dates and timelines. They do not return calls and nor do they meet their commitments made to you. \r \r We finally cancelled our order today and are going with someone that deserves and respects our business. We remodel homes for rentals and have never had an issue with getting countertops installed in a 4 week time frame and have never had a business refuse to communicate after they had our money like these folks do. We are awaiting the delivery of our sink back from the guy that measured since he took it with him. We will be using someone else moving forward.\r \r Im not sure if they are under new ownership now vs the reviews we previously read, which sent us to IGS, but steer clear of this business. I don't normally write bad reviews. I prefer to leave the flaming to others. However, since I relied upon the ratings on this website as a factor in selecting IGS over its competitors, I thought it was fair to provide our own rating. \r \r The lead up to installation had its problems. Their water cutting machine had broken and getting an answer about an installation date was a function of who you talked to at the company. Installation took from 11:30 to 6: 30 with no installer breaks. I think the installers just wanted to get out of there. After the dust settled, and we had a chance to look at the installation, we noticed that the seams were poorly done and that the granite colors did not match from piece to piece.\r \r A neighbor stopped by the next day and without prompting noted that the seams were poor.\r The IGS salesperson visited and agreed that the seams were poor and made some rather strong commitments to fix the installation. It took a week after inspection to hear back from IGS. As a matter of fact, IGS never did return that set of phone calls- one day, the installers called and said they were on the way. In spite of a commitment from a VP at IGS to send out his fix-it specialists, IGS sent the original installers back out- they did what they could, but it is still a poor installation. \r \r As for the color differences, we did specify in the contract that we wanted to see and select the slabs before cutting. The first visit, we rejected the slabs. A few days later, IGS got in some more stone. We looked at one slab, which was exactly what we wanted. The salesperson said the other two, which we could not see because they were laid against each other were ""just like the first one"". When I expressed my doubts since we could not see the finished faces, he assured me, that he would personally see that the stones matched before cutting. I believed him, he didn’t and they don’t.\r \r My advice to prospective IGS customers:\r \r Look at each and every stone slab fully before agreeing to use the slab. Make IGS move the slabs so you can see the finished side of both slabs side by side and have them mark your slabs in your presence.\r \r Do NOT, as we did, give IGS 90% down. You lose any leverage and what going concern needs 90% up front. I only agreed to that because this site and the BBB had good things to say about IGS. \r \r In summary, I hate having to say bad things about a company, but this review site needs some balance, unless I am the only person in IGS history that has ever had this level of service and product and I doubt that. I am like the vast majority of other consumers. International Granite & Stone allowed our kitchen update to come in on budget. We spent way too much on appliances and that left not so much for the countertops. Some friends referred us to International Granite & Stone and they made a number of recommendations that saved us money. We had them fabricate and install the kitchen. They were very helpful from beginning to end. We shopped other suppliers and met a host of obstacles from language barriers to inexperience. The initial contact, which Is very important, is what sold me an obtaining the countertops from your company. The friendly knowledge in presenting to the customer your product, and the advantages that it had over other companies methods of fabrication. Your progress contacts, whether in writing or by telephone, convinced me that you sincerely care about customer satisfaction. You even went the extra mile, to have the shop manager answer any additional questions that I had, so that any loose ends came together. I must also comment that it didn't end there. Your in home installers were two of the most courteous and efficient workers I have ever had do work in my home. They made things work and showed pride in their work. When they were done, they cleaned up and then explained in detail what they had done. They went over what I had to do to maintain my new Granite tops and sink, and answered all my questions professionally. My kitchen countertop project started on time, progressed on time, and was completed very quickly (with little disruption. i was hesitant to use igs because of the the comments placed on this website, but after visiting theor showroom, walking through their facility and recieving a quote i decided to go with them. my experience was great. they layed out what i shold expect and delivered on every aspect. i am very satisified with the countertops that igs installed in my home, i would recomend them to anyone. more

Great selection, pricing and customer service. From the minute I walked in IGS's showroom I knew I was working with a first class company. They were very efficient and personable at the same time, for such a large company I felt like I was working with a friend. They showed up when they said they would and installed a premium countertop. The owner is involved in the daily operations and he truly cares about his customers. I could have used a company that promised me countertops quicker and cheaper, but I had a bad feeling. IGS is busy and it is obvious why, service and quality. I would recomend IGS to anyone. more
