I am truly disappointed with this place. (The Artcraft Location). I took my child here because of all the positive reviews and the location was closer to me. However since day 1 there has always been issues. The first day my child started there, there was no one in the front desk. I had no idea where to sign in my child or anything. I had to look at another parent to see where to sign in my child. I was told to bring the regular items for a child, wipes, diapers, extra clothes, etc. However by the 3rd day, my child's teacher told me I needed to purchase my own plastic container to put my child's items in. Mind you, I was the ONLY parent that had to purchase one. All the other children had their own because they were provided with one.\r \r Twice my child's crib sheet was given to another child. My child came home with another sock that did not match the one she originally had on. When I told Tobias Frescas about this, he said ""It'll probably happen again"". My child came home with scratches on the back of the neck which no one knew what happened. My child would have their hair done, but the daycare never asked me to bring a brush for my child. Although I loved the hairstyle they did on my child, what brush were they using?\r \r If you want a place that is unhygienic when it comes to your child, I would highly recommend this place. They will give your child someone else's crib sheet and vice versa. Do you really want your child on someone else's crib sheet when children sweat, drool, and have mucus on that sheet? Or change socks with another child and have Tobias Frescas tell you ""It'll probably happen again"". Nick had told me they were ranked #1, yet with all these incidents, I cannot possibly see how. I did tell Tobias my concerns, but he brushed them off. I would really look elsewhere.\r \r Also, I have CCS and you are not supposed to be charged an enrollment fee. However, I was told I had to pay one anyway. more

This place is great. In response to the previous review, I've never dealt with the male owner. I've only seen him once when I was looking for daycare centers for my baby. I saw some reviews on Google and other places for Grammie's and was a little hesitant to go visit it. The only reason I went to visit it was because it was really close to where I live. \r \r Anyway, I'm breastfeeding my baby, and I was going to the Baby Center Cafe in downtown. When I was at the Baby Center Cafe one day before I returned to work, I remember a group of people from a daycare come in to see how to best cater to breastfeeding moms. \r \r When I came to see the Grammie's Daycare, I remember seeing some of those faces from the Baby Cafe. Grammie's Daycare is very breast feeding friendly - although, I think I am the only mom right now that is breastfeeding. They have a room where you can feed your baby when you drop the baby off and pick the baby up if you want to.\r \r The ladies in the infant room are incredibly nice. Whenever I come to pick my baby up, he is happy and content. Never had an issue with them!\r \r Grammie is usually there, and she is nice and respectful. I'm sorry to the previous post that you had an awful time with the male owner. He usually isn't there... more

RUDE OWNER... 4/5/2012

THE OWNER IS VERY RUDE....\r ONE DAY (THE THIRD DAY OF MY BABY AT DAYCARE) I WAS RUNNING LATE TO THE HOSPITAL...WHERE MY DAD HAD SPENT A FEW DAYS AFTER FINDING A CANCER IN HIS LUNG.\r I THAN, I ADMIT, PARKED MY CAR BLOCKING THE HANDICAP SPOT WHILE I WALKED INSIDE THE DAYCARE WITH MY 3 MONTH OLD BABY, \r A MAN , WHO NEEDED THE HANDICAP SPOT SCREAMING SAID ""MOVE YOUR CAR"" I THAN TOLD HIM THAT THERE WAS ANOTHER HANDICAP SPOT...THAT IT WILL BE LESS THAN A MINUTE.\r AS I WALKED OUT, THE MAN SAID ""I AM THE OWNER HERE"" AND I SAID ""REALLY? AND YOU ARE RUDE TO YOUR CLIENTS? IN THAT CASE I SAID, I DONT WANT MA BABY HERE"" HIS RESPONSE...""OK GOOD""\r \r I THINK THAT AS THE OWNER HE COULD HAVE BEEN NICER...CONSIDERING THAT I HAD MY BABY AND WAS RUSHING....HE COULD HAVE AT LEAST SAY CAN YOU PLEASE MOVE YOUR CAR? INSTEAD OF HONKING AND SCREAMING ""MOVE YOUR CAR.""\r \r HE COULD HAVE ASKED IF THERE WAS ANYTHING I NEDDED AND AT LEAST PRETEND THAT HE CARES ABOUT HIS CLIENTS..MY ADVICE, THE OWNER IS RUDE AND I DONT WANT MY BABY TO BE IN AN ENVIRONMENT WITH PEOPLE LIKE THAT.\r IF HE IS RUDE TO A PARENT...HOW AM I GOING TO FEEL SAFE LEAVING MY BABY THERE. more

Perfect place for my children 2/13/2006

This is the perfect child care for my children. The family owned daycare provides a loving environement for my children, and promotes education and appropriate peer bonding. I am happy to have my children in this daycare, and have full access of my children via an on-line camara. i can see my kiddos when ever I want. It is a great situation for a working family. Thanks, Josh more
