Wonderful! 3/23/2012

There's no better restaurant in the area. They have a rotating menu of fantastic creative dishes and deserts, great mixed drinks, and a wonderful atmosphere. Prices are very fair for what you get. There is a nice range of entrees ranging from the $10 area to $30. Service is wonderful, but be sure to get a reservation or you may have a bit of a wait. You won't find anywhere else that puts this much pride and effort into their food and service. Love it! more

Great Place don't listen to Groupon reviews 2/18/2012

I was in on Valentine's Day with my wife. Upon arrival we could tell it was really busy and the hostess let us know that it would be a few minutes before our table was ready and that we could wait at the bar. As soon as we sat down we were greeted by both of the male bartenders and they quickly made sure that we had a drink in front of us in no time at all. They were great!, constantly bickering with each other like a married couple and cracking a ton of jokes that even made us, who they had just met, feel involved. We finished our drinks and had another one in front of us before the glass even hit the beautiful marble bar. The hostess then informed us that our table was ready so we followed her to our table, I would've rather stayed at the bar to listen to these two banter on but it is valentine's and I didn't think my wife would enjoy me paying more attention to these two than her. Our server was named Megan and she was extra cheery and attentive but it seemed like the entire staff was helping each other out, it took me a minute but was having trouble with rememberring who our server was because nearly every employee stopped by to see if we needed anything. Great food and great service. Discard any reviews involving Groupons, those people are insane to think that at the last second they can use it and not be joined by hundreds of other procrastinators expecting to get the service that they normally provide. We will be returning, what an amazing find. more

Not a good date night 9/21/2011

We went to Gracie's with a GROUPON that someone gave to us to try the place. We looked at the menu online and thought it should be good. We went on a Wednesday night and since we did not have reservations, we had to sit on the patio, which was fine. Our server came over in less than 10 minutes to take our drink order. I asked what was on draft, and he only mentioned the mircobrews and not the other beer that they had which was a little pompous. They had other beers available on draft, because I heard another server name them off to her table. \r \r We just got entrees because we are trying to eat better. It took over 45 minutes for them to come out. We were offered no bread, when other tables had some. When our food arrived we had no silverware. We had to ask for silverware and the server brought 2 forks, nothing else. Then we had to ask for napkins. Then we had to ask for another knife. It should not take THREE trips to get silverware. \r \r The food... My husband had the pork tenderloin that tasted like FISH. It was horrible. We were going to complain, but our server was nowhere to be found. I had the skirt steak, med rare, and it was med well to well. It was dry and very overcooked. Again, our pompous server who seemed too busy to serve us, was nowhere to be found. He never offered us desert and did not take our plates away until we stacked them on the side. He then said, "" did I get your groupon already?"" We never even said that we had one; he was just assuming we did. If you are upset by the groupons that the restaurant has, take that up with your manager. If you are upset with the poor tips you are getting, it has NOTHING to do with GROUPON, it is your poor, arrogant service. T hen he came over looking for me to pay the bill, but he had not even brought it to the table yet. Then he put the full price bill on top so I was sure to see my meal was $57 dollars so I would tip accordingly. I have used several groupons before and I always tip my full price bill. UNLESS you are possibly one of the worst servers I have ever had and I gave you 10%, and I know most people would have given you nothing. My husband and I waited tables in the past, and you really have to be bad for either of us to tip less than 20%. \r \r This is why they had a groupon, the service is bad this is why they are not filling their restaurant, and their food was horrible. After the groupon expires, they will be back to a half empty restaurant.\r more

Great food 11/24/2010

We went to Gracie's around 9:30 pm and just had an appetitzer and desserts. The fresh guacamole/chips, banana bread pudding and dark chocolate mousse cake were delicious. Everything is home made and fresh--my mouth is watering as I write this. I think the items are priced competitively and are in the range of fine dining. My wife and I are looking forward to a return visit when we can sample the dinner entrees. This area finally has a restuarant that is equal to Chicago! more
