I am a very active triathlete who fell while training and fractured my right ankle. Boy was I bummed out!! My training came to a complete stop. I saw Dr. Krause who put a plate on the outside of my ankle in a one hour outpatient procedure at the St. Louis Spine and Orthopedic Center. I had to wear a walking cast for 6 weeks and then a boot. The fractured healed and after 3 months I was swimming and biking again. The running took a lot longer but after 6 months I am back at full speed. Thanks for giving me my activity back!!! more

My 15 year old daughter tore her ACL playing soccer on a select team last fall. She required her ACL to be fixed surgically. She had it repaired by Dr. Milne at The Orthopedic Center of St. Louis. Her rebab was difficult but after 4 weeks she was walking without crutches or a brace. She regained full function after 4 months and is starting to condtion her knee again. It was a tough injury but she recovered and is not back to new again. I can't thank The Orthopedic Center of St. Louis and Dr. Milne for their great care of my daughter!!! more

I am from New Orleans and was in need of a hip replacement around the time of Hurricain Katrina. After the storms most of the good doctors moved away and it was hard to find a doctor or hospital that I felt comfortable performing my surgery in New Orleans. I have a sister in St. Louis who knew of Dr. Lux and arranged for me to see him there when I visited her. I immediately felt comfortable with Dr. Lux and a month later he replaced my hip. The surgery was at Barnes Jewish West County Hospital and the staff was great. I only spent 2 nights in the hospital and walked the afternoon of surgery. I spent another week with my sister and then returned to New Orleans to fully recover. It took about 6 weeks to heal completely. I was recently back in St. Louis for my 5 year check up and everything is perfect!!. I can't thank Dr. Lux and his staff enough for the great care they gave me during that difficult time in my life!! more

I am a 75 year old grandmother who loves to knit afghans for my grandchildren. I had carpal tunnel in both my hands and was loosing the ability to do what I loved the most. I lost sleep over my hands aching and the numbness woke me up. My hands went to sleep when I drove my car and I had trouble turning the pages of the newspaper. Dr. Rotman and his staff did a test on my hands that showed I had carpal tunnel in both. He operated on both of my hands at the same time and I was able to go home the same day. I was able to go back to knitting with in 3 days and my hands woke up over about 4 weeks. He did the surgery though a scope and there was only a small incision at the base of my wrist. I can't thank Dr. Rotman and his staff for taking such great care of me!!! more

I had a long running problem with pain down my leg. I tried everything to get better!! It lasted for two years and I tried everything!! Physical therapy, inversion tables, cortisone shots, pills, and massages. My leg pain got especially bad when I bent over to clean my floor. At that point I began having numbness and weakness in my leg. My family doctor referred me to Dr. Brett Taylor who ordered an MRI of my lower back. It showed that I had spinal stenosis and a ruptured disk. He did surgery on me and when I woke up all of my pain was gone!! I was able to go back to work in 2 weeks and haven't had a pain since. My kids think I am a lot more pleasant to be around and no more leg pain!! THANK You Dr. Taylor for all of your good work!! more

Dr. Davd Brown performed amazing repair work when I cut 2 of my finger down to the bone. Due to his high skill level I was able not only to keep both of my fingers, but have full use of them as well. Dr. David Brown and his staff at the Orthopedic Center of St. Louis were compassionate, knowledgeable, and supportive before, during, and after surgery. I did not feel that my care was based on profits, but based on having a great outcome. After a long, drawn out and painful workmans comp injury that I sustained to my left thumb, I finally found the best and most caring physician. To make a long story short the workers comp company sent me to six different doctor's. Some of these visits were considered a IME, which means the doctor gives only his medical opinion. After being misdiagnoised and treated with unsuccessful surgeries I was sent to Dr. David Brown a hand surgeon for IME to get his opinion. At that point he listened in detail, reviewed records and requested additional testing. Those recommendations changed my life. I live in Illinois so to my advantage I am able to treat with any doctor I choose. I drove over 300 miles to Dr. Brown's office for several visit's including the surgery to my thumb which was a huge success. I am proud to say I am back to work with full function and I couldn't have been more lucky to have had Dr. Brown as my doctor of choice. He is a exceptional surgeon and person. The Orthopedic center of St. Louis and Dr. Brown's staff was wonderful and accomidating to all my needs. I am appauled by what I have read concerning Dr. David Brown. He is the kindest, most caring physician I have ever met while going through this painful process of a Bone Spur. Having surgery was his last resort. He was NOT all about the money. His concern was only for my welfare and comfort. The staff was wonderful and very helpful. I even received a phone call from one of the surgery staff to check on me. The outcome of my surgery was nothing less than fabulous. I returned to work in just a few weeks and have had a full recovery. I owe all of this to Dr. Brown and thank him for giving me my life back. more

Dr David Brown is a Workman Comp Quack he does not care for the patient all he care about is how much kick back money from the Insurance Company to sell out his patients. I would not let this guy look at my dog, or anyone else. Do not let this so called witch doctor recommend anything to you he works for the Insurance Company to save them money.
