Our cat had a medial emergency and brought her here to Goodyear Animal Hospital. They were able to get her in right away and perform emergency surgery on her. She recovered quickly and is doing wonderful. They were kind and compassionate during that stressful time and even offer financing options if needed. The office is always so clean and welcoming. We have been coming here for over 10 years and am so glad that we have because we always receive top notch service. ~Kim L. more

I have been taking my little girl Chica to this vet for 10 years and they are so good,today my baby had to get an extensive nail cut where they had to put her to sleep.I will always use this clinic and the good thing is they help with payment plans,I don't know what I would do if they didn't offer that.Thank you all for always taking such good care of my baby. more

I love this place. It's clean, welcoming,professional and priced fairly. I went to another practice in Goodyear after 20 years in Scottsdale. There is not an AHA certified practice out here. I have the feeling this facility is working towards that someday. I was very pleased. Vet care is not cheap anymore. Equipment and staff are very expensive. If you want your pet to have modern veterinary medicine that's the way it is. These vets are highly trained and skilled professionals. I thank them for the care they have given Penny. She has some complex skin issues and they have thoughtfully worked through them. She healthy and happy. I highly recommend this place. more

They took wonderful care of my Westy. Prince had 15 teeth removed in surgery at the age of 13 and has come out of it as a little champ. \r \r Their accounting staff has been wonderful assisting me in making a good payment process for both of us.\r \r Thank you again. more

I have an orange ""rescue"" tabby (Bailey) that my son found 12 years ago in a dumpster with one badly infected eye.. While living in California I had the best vet and she informed me that eventually his eye would have to be removed because he couldn't see out of it anyway. I moved to here to Arizona 2 years ago and wasn't looking forward to the day to find a new vet but Goodyear Animal Hospital has the BEST reviews and was recommended by a friend of my son's. Well, my cat does NOT like to be touched or held (very rarely by me in the last 12 years) but I love him anyway. He is a difficult cat to get into the carrier - so I have to take him to have his eye examined - So to the vet I go ---- - OH MY GOSH - the people who worked at Goodyear the BEST and most patient of all. They carried him out of my car for me, took me immediately into a room - the technician spent 20 minutes talking to be about all Bailey's problems (psychological as well) and then Dr. Fan comes in and does the same thing - patient, kind, and listened and wasn't in a hurry to get me in and out. The result was that Bailey needed to have his eye removed. The cost was high but they worked with me and he had the surgery yesterday. When I brought him in yesterday they were so good with him and explained every thing they were going to do - and the same when I picked him up - These people love animals and it shows. Believe me when I say I have had some really bad vets and it's hard to find a good one - much less a GREAT one. Highly recommend them! They will be my go to vet and for my son's pet as well. more

After having a really bad experience at another local animal clinic, I called Goodyear Animal Hospital and they were willing to help me out and answer all of my questions. They have very knowledgable staff and genuinely care about all animals and their customers. I now go there to purchase my kitten's prescription food as they charge about half the price of the other clinic I was going to... I would highly recommend them to anyone who wants quality care and service! more

You gotta love a groomer who loves dogs. Makes such a difference in our dog Abby. She used to be afraid when we'd drop her off at other groomers. But at Goodyear Animal Hospital she's extremely comfortable and comes home looking great.\r \r Linda from Goodyear more

Total rip off! $53 for the office visit...okay, I understand that, then another $250 for a topical and oral antibiotic for an ear infection and yeast infection on my dog's skin from swimming and being wet for long periods!!! I told them to go jump off a bridge. No way those drugs cost that much. Taking complete advantage of people all the while pretending they care...RIIIIGHT! Nice facility, but not worth getting ripped off. more

I was disappointed to read a couple of neg. reviews on here! I have had quite the opposite experience at this hospital everytime I have been in or called. We moved here 6 months ago, I have several dogs, and 2 of them are special needs rescues... Lilly, unfortunately, has gotten to know everyone there well enough they know her on site and by name even when we bump into them outside of the office!!\r I have found Dr Ortyl to be particularly wonderful...kind, compassionate, knowledgable, and incredible with Lilly (and her high anxiety mom!). I cannot say enough good things about her. When I bring Lil in, she comes in the room and sits on the floor with Lil and I, she goes out of her way to make sure we are both comfortable, and I leave without questions. She has excellent follow up as well. EVERY time I have had Lil or my other kids in the office, I have received a follow up call within the next day or two, and they always return my calls into the office the same day.\r I would recommend D more

1st visit was great, but next visit was shocking. Our otherwise healthy 5 yr old dog suddenly could not stand up or walk w/o assistance.Took him in immediately, Doctor did NOT listen when I told the about a small red spot i found on front paw that was NOT there when I bathed him the day before. Insisted we do x-rays (300.00) -not clear enough. Doctor needed to sedate dog and take more x-rays to better diagnosis (250.00).3 hrs. later, I was told he would NEVER be able to walk or run normally again and that he'd be on medication until he died. She suggested we think about putting him down!! Devastated, I took him home to decide what to do. Thank God I did, he vomited from the sedative and slept for 9+ hrs. He woke up good as new the next morning. Called doctor to inform them of their misdiagnosis and remove the charge for the additional (unnecessary) x-rays, medication they sent home, and for the sedative. Did not remove extra charge and sent to collections It has been over 2 years since this experience and he has not had any problems walking or running. He's healthy, goes on walks/rums daily, & plays w/ the kids. more

My 10 month old Dachshund was showing signs of parvo and no vet in Yuma would see him because we didn't have an appointment. I drove the 3 hours from Yuma to Goodyear animal hospital and they waited for me to get there even though it was close to quitting time. When my puppy arrived the technicians were very nice and understanding when I was a wreck. They diagnosed my dachshund and my 6 month old chihuahua with parvo. I left that day with a bag of medication and everything I would need for at home care for both my puppies. I called thier facility everytime my puppy got up, they never seemed annoyed with my calls and always ensured me that I was doing a good job. Both my babies are back to thier old selves and I owe it to the great staff at Goodyear animal hospital. Thank you for saving my babies! more

I love this animal hospital! They have taken such great care of all my pets over the years. Recently I had to have my dogs teeth cleaned. They have new package prices that made all the regular stuff so much more affordable! Everyone should visit Dr. Megan and Dr. Amy at Goodyear Animal Hospital. more

This place is awesome! My dog got stung by a scorpion & starting seizing. I called at 6:30 & they told me to come straight in. When I arrived, they took him right to the back & started working. All the staff was very caring & gave me constant updates. My little guy ended up staying overnight but is totally normal now. Except for me bring paranoid about scorpions! more

Very nice facilities in the Canyon Trails Safeway shopping center. Vet's are nice. Very expensive compared to others in the area. Call backs for questions regarding your pet or concerns are not very quick and some times they don't return calls at all. Prescriptions are very expensive. They prescribed itching shampoo and spray for my dog. Found out after I paid that they were charging double the going price. When I called to complain, I received no call back. FYI, you can request a written prescription and purchase else where. Pros: Open 7 days a week and nice facilities Cons: Untimely or no communication, very expensive more

THIS IS NOT THE PLACE TO TAKE YOUR PET! A few months ago I took my 5 year old pit/boxer mix in because he could bearly stand. I told them this happend over a couple of hours, they did lots of tests and x rays then told me he had bone degeneration . The vet handed me two prescriptions and a $660 dollar bill. I took my dog "buddy" home and he had a large bowl movement and was back to his old self. I got A $660 dollar bill for two scrips the dog never took this vet needs to think about a career change!! more

This is a terrible vet, if you can even call it that. I brought my not even 4 year old dog in because she was very sick. To make a long story short, the vets there, who didn't really listen to a word that I said they just shook their head and said "uh huh, uh huh", told me that the only way to save her would be with a 5000$ procedure and even that probably wouldn't work so I should just say goodbye and put her down as soon as possible. I love my dog so much that I decided that I couldn't live with myself unless I got a second opinion so I took my dog and left. To make things worse this place called the next vet that I was going to and told THEM to just put her down!!! What? Who does that? I just wanted a chance to have an unbiased second opinion. This is a life of an animal that I love... Don't I at least deserve that? Anyway, I got her the procedure which only cost 1100$ and within 2 days she was back to her old self. She would be dead if I listened to this place. I love my dog, hate more

What a great group of vets! They are so caring & tender with my dogs! I also love their groomer Tanya. She knows my dogs by name & treats them very well. I won't take my dogs to any other vet or groomer. more

Goodyear Animal Hospital is a state of the art facility and are open 7 days a week - so appointments are easy to come by. The vets are wonderful and very caring towards your pets. Big problem - they are super expensive - their prices are at least 25% more than other vets in the area. more
