Goodrich Cemetary ---A well kept secret 7/11/2006

One of Romeo's greatest secrets unfolds down Kidder. Kidder is a winding, lonely country road covered with much gravel mimicking tiny railroad tracks which shifts your vehicle from here to there. As I look up a wide-eyed doe passes close to the sign that warns - No Hunting. Trees hoover above forming natures tunnel in an effort to keep it recluse. The road ,which has gone forgotten, bears weeds and brush left unattended for a long period of time. The evidence can be clearly heard as our car's tires try to break free from the mire. In the middle of this eerie existence there is an ancient cemetary of not more than fifty plots. The bold wrought iron sign states "Goodrich Cemetary" and should pronouce no vacancy! I was so entranced by this cemetary way out in the no where.. For several days that followed I had so many questions as to who was buried there? I wondered if it was a small group of friends or a family? Trying as hard as I could I did a fervent research that left me where I began. The only true evidence that Goodrich Cemetary does exist is by going there. Next time I will bring along my digital camera. Take Van Dyke Road to 37 Mile and make a left hand turn. Turn on Kidder Road about a mile up and make a left. Stay on Kidder and the cemetary will be on the right hand side before you hit Bordman Rd. more
