Fun place, Terrible service 3/16/2011

Good: Water slides are great, golf was a blast, go-carts fun.. Bad: Service or lack of customer service skills and people skills. 50 minutes to get 2 slices of pizza and 2 hot dogs. Improvements: Counter people have no service or people skills. Maybe train them according to the old addage "The customer is always right" even if they are wrong..... Other: We had a Birthday party there a week ago and it was great, the kids loved it. Our party host was the best, basically took care of everything for us. We returned yesterday to take in the water slides which are a blast. However we had a coupon for a birthday child to use the slides free or the other attractions free. The kids running things behind the counter would not let us use it as it was 1 day before his birthday, some parents have to work and after explaining we just spent $150 on a B-day party 3. more

Fun place 10/28/2005

I have been going to Sunsplash as long as I can remember, we used to come once a year for a field trip when I was in elementary school. I love the river with the tubes, it is a long one. And the arcade is really nice, really large. Good pizza also. I think one of the slides is called the Black Hole? or something like that, it has always been my favorite. more

My opinion 10/14/2005

I have never been to the gold course, so I will not comment on the golf course. I have been to Golf Land's arcade, which is amazing. Golfland is known to have the largest Bemani collection in the valley. There is more than adequate walking room compared to it's competitor Fiddlesticks, and has a larger arcade selction. The castle, where the arcade is located does offer a hot and cold snack bar, and a redemption counter. Their seating area is much larger compared to Fiddlesticks and does have dimmer lights to have an evening after hour effect. I do think however that the prices for the games compared to Fiddlesticks are a little more, for example to play Dance Dance Revolution, the cost is 4 tokens (= $1.00) and is per person, each player pays, while at Fiddlesticks a 2nd person plays for free. King Ben's arcade castle is a great place for teenagers, groups of friends, on a date, and somewhat a good place for families. There are not as many redemption games compared to Fiddlesticks or Gameworks, which younger kids and families seem to gravitate towards. Prizes for the redemption games are of similar quality to pizza centers. Seperate from Golfland's King Ben's Castle (arcade) there is a waterpark called Sunsplash. Sunsplash is a fun filled waterpark for the summer months. Compared to Big Surf in Tempe there are more waterslides, a larger wave pool, and more kid orientated areas, as well as a lazy river. While prices may be high for a one time visit, buying a season pass is WELL worth the money and often has paid for itself after 2.5 visits. Snacks while inside the water park are reasonably priced and worth the money. more

Golfland is perfect for date night 8/19/2005

Golfland is the perfect date night. Or even a night out with the kids. Ive never been during the day.. who wants to hit a ball around in the heat anyway right? There are a couple of differnt courses, so wait time is never too long. I love the windmill, and lagoon. Also they have an arcade area inside.. Plus the waterpark, which is a whole differnt experience. They stay open pretty late, so if you need a good place to go after a dinner date for some fun, golf land is definatly it! more

Best mini-golf course around 8/5/2005

This is a world class golf course because it is one of those courses with the windmills, clowns, waterfalls, huge anthills, opening and closing doors, and various other interesting and fun holes. Much more enjoyable than just hitting a ball around on a green like a lot of other mini-golf courses. Very fun for kids and families but also fun for adults on date nights. more

Go early! 8/2/2005

Sunsplash is a great place to spend a summer day. Kids and adults will love their water slides, wave pool and lazy river. Get there early, though, to beat the crowds and get a locker. After noon this place fills up and you can spend most your time there waiting in line. more

Fun in the Sun!! 7/31/2005

If you are in need of a day of fun this is the place to go!! The water park is sometimes crowded but if you go early enough you will miss the crowd. With the heat of the desert it is very nice to be able to cool down in the water! They also have a wonderful children’s area! The miniature golf at Golfland is also a blast!! more
