Absolute ripp off. I SIGNED UP FOR A MONTH TO MONTH MEMBERSHIP YR/2 AGO,Went in oneday and said i would like to add my girlfriend on a month to month, and did, she also purchased over 1200$$ in private lessons that did nothing for her she couldnt do herself. Summer came around and i went in to cancel. Knowing i paid first and last months dues upfront,another clue i was on a month to month. They said i was switched to a two yr contract, and the guy that did it didnt work there anymore and they could do nothing about it.WTF? The large manager never returned my calls, and pretended to be busy,or would simply shut his door. The most unproffesional person i have ever dealt with. So now it has damaged my credit.\r THEY STOLE FROM ME BY RE-WRITING MY CONTRACT! FURTHERMORE THEY MADE ABSOLUTELY NO ATTEMPT TO RESOLVE THE ISSUE. A person goes to jail for stealing bread,yet scumbags like this get away with theft everyday.Ihave been going to gyms for 20 yrs,and never had any problems,then again that was my first time at golds. County jail had softer towels,if this has happened to anyone else lets get together and see if we can hire an attorney. The manager was Ryan i believe,more like a rude caveman. more

I agree with those that say management doesn't care about their members. They used to have very good group fitness classes here. This was the only reason I came to this gym. It certainly wasn't because of the rude management. However, because they don't care about giving members the best instructors, they cut the instructors pay. And guess what? All the good ones quit! I have tried most of the new instructors and they are terrible, terrible, terrible. That's how they can get by with paying them low wages. Don't waste your time or money here. The quality of the classes is now well below average. Management can't be bothered with your opinions. All they want is your monthly fee. more

Ryan, the manager, I caught him watching me while I was undressing and walking towards the showers from the dressing room. I asked the guy who signed me up months ago to cancel my membership because I couldn't take that, and he denied because of a ""contract."" I am no longer comfortable going to this gym, but they still wont cancel. I do NOT recommend this gym, especially if you have kids that will be in the locker rooms. Please think twice, probably three times before spending your hard earned dollars at this specific location! more

I joined or became a member of Golds 7 months ago. I look younger do to exercise. I looked up some other business and decided to look up Gold and could not believe the reviews. First thing the staff is very friendly and working hard. I have never seen dust on the equipment or truly not a machine not working. If it was I???m sure they would take care of it. When some channels were off they had it working the next day. They are first class, not coach or business. Just remember what if someone wrote a review about you? I LOVE this gym more

I signed my 3 and 6 year old sons up for swimming lessons. Half way through the first lesson, my three year old unintentionally let go of the wall and went under. The teacher was far away with his back turned and didn't even notice. I had to jump in fully clothed to rescue him. The teacher didn't even apologize. We have taken lessons 4 years through the YMCA and never even had to stick a finger in the water. After a phone conversation with the swim manager, I was unhappy with their safety procedures. I was told that ""these things sometimes happen"" and he instructed the teacher to ""try"" not to turn his back on the students. All of that and they originally REFUSED to give me my money back! I had to have a meeting with the head of the gym and hound them for two weeks for resolution. NOTE -- they do not have any lifeguards on duty during the lesson (except for the teachers in the water). They even had an extra child in the class and they had no idea why or who it was. They didn't take names down or check a list. This means they had 6 instead of 5 kids in the class. This increased the likelihood that the teacher could have forgotten during a head count and not noticed that number 6 was underwater drowning. Don't go! more

I have given Gold's Gym 3 tries over the last several years and was screwed over and treated like garbage every time. The last time I signed up they PROMISED that things were different and the management was honest and caring. Within a week I was cheated, treated disrespectfully, and promises were laughed at once they had my signature. As a fitness professional for 18 years I know how clients should be treated, Golds Gym in Woodinville is the worst place go that I have ever run across. The positive reviews are obviously plants, because I have yet to meet anyone in Woodinville who has not been damaged in some way to this Golds. ABC Finacial is a perfect fit for this corrupt, rude, and dishonest gym. more

I have been a member for years and the staff has always been very nice and what club doesn't have a little dust...Never had a problem with anything here. Open early and very late. more

I would not join this gym again. The gym is not clean. The hardwood aerobic floor is very dirty with hair and dustballs every where. The mats are AT LEAST 10 years old and STINK. The aerobic benches are at least 15 years old and peeling apart. The hand weights, the same way. The facility is so extremely warm I see people bringing their own fans. I've heard many members complain about the lack of air movement and heat and nothing has ever been done. The pool is closed too often and doesn't seen clean. Rude, and cold at times. Tom (swim director) seems to never be available. Had a problem w/ childrens swim contract, his wife calls me (she is not personnel), but acted like it, and will give u wrong information), she was mean, lacked professionalism & experience. She didn't make sense, and tried to boot me out of a paid contract. My kids have had lessons there for years (before it was Gold's)-they could of continued making money for the gym if they had better customer relations, but lost it. Pros: ok equipment, not crowded. My experience has been very good. I have been a member since 2007 when it was under a different management. Since Gold's took over it is much better. The manager (Cord) is very responsive and helpful and the staff always say hello. Love the pool. It is much better than other clubs I have frequented Pros: Location. Pool. Management more

The aerobics room has a thermostat that is set too high and when the manager was 'notified' of that fact he said ""I didn't get an email about this..."" What the heck? How about a person telling you in person, bozo? So, just before they launched a full court press to sign up for personal training, the temperature miraculously was made more comfortable. That's until they reached their sales goal and BAM! ....back to sweat city. This time, they could give a rip. The front desk personnel do not acknowledge you at all and always seem to be busy folding towels. They are buddies with the manager and together, they form a little private club of their own. On the other hand, the trainers are superb - albeit underpaid and over worked. It's a nice gym all in all. The management however, leaves much to be desired. I'm not sure who is writing these reviews but I don't think they are very fair. I am a member at the Woodinville Athletic Club and it is a top notch facility. The staff have always been very nice to me and my family, not to mention professional and helpful at all times. The hours of the club are very convienence, and contrary to popular opinion here, the equipment is great as well. There are OCCASIONALLY a few treadmills down (they don't magically work perfect forever folks) but they are always promptly fixed, not to mention the fact that the club has so much equipment that you never ever have to wait for any of the pieces of equipment. All in all it is a great gym and I highly recommend it. I also want to point out that it is suspicious to me that the people knocking this club have only posted one review on city search, that being of this club. Tells me its not an honest consumer out there just some bitter former member or employee probably. Sad, hopefully nobody believed them and didnt check it out for themselves cause they are missing out on a great place! Pros: equipment, staff, location Cons: weights don't' lift themselves more

My experience with this club was that they don't care! You will need to make an appointment to talk to someone for any basic information such as price and questions on a particular class. I'm not sure why they even need real people at the front desk to schedule an appoint with you to talk to someone. Worst of all, I have requested information on some classes via email a couple of times to the management and they never even care to reply at all. more
