avoid like the plague! the worst gym I have ever been to. used to body build and have been to hundreds of gyms. this ranks up around the worst for me. not only was the hygiene and cleanliness of the place garbage but all but one employee and general manager was. lack of spray bottles and organization was retarded. asked the GM if he was happy with this and he acted like I was speaking another language. I paid my account to zero, canceled and years later got a collection on my credit for past due membership fees AFTER I canceled! called and talked to them and it took the girl over a week to call me back. incompetent and lazy, the debt is still not taken care of by them and nobody there will get me a number to corporate. a multi million dollar company that does this is UNACCEPTABLE! I would never, go to this place if I were you..there are better places in the area! more

I just tried to find out why my daughter was dropped from my Family policy and did not get a good answer. I was unable to put her back on my family policy without a 1 year contract. I tried to get some help but no one in management cared. I don't see how someone would say they were treated like family when most of the staff is new. Golds is going down and treated me poorly. I have been a member here for many years. From the moment I walk throught the door I get treated like family. Everyone there ( workers as well as other members ) really care about me, my kids, and if I have any questions or need assistance .... someone is there to help. It is also the ONLY gym around that offers Les MIlls programs.( Bodypump, Bodycombat, RPM etc) I was really nervous about trying a class because I didn't want to look silly. The instructor totally made me feel comfortable and kept encouraging me. Now I take all the classes. Gold's gym ROCKS !!! Pros: the classes and instructors are AMAZING ! more

Seriouly, there is not a another gym in town that can compete with Gold's HB....their childcare is incredible they actually have dance dance revolution for kids and cardio bikes to help keep the kids entertained and active. The weight room is hands down the best in HB, all top of the line Hammer Strength equipment! Very clean facility not sure what other people are talking about!!They have amazing class instructors..The have recently added Max Muscle to the club, the only club to do so in the nation......you have to check it out!!! The gym is getting very dirty and unclean....they have not paid their janitors now for 10 weeks. The Manager says it's an issue with corporate....and he will fix the problem. I have heard that the business is up for sale....$2 million. I hope that it doesn't close..... because my dues have been paid for a year in advance......stupid me. more

They are notorious for double billing accounts and overcharging with bait-and-switch tactics. Other former members have come forward with this information as well. It is poorly kept, unclean and is badly run all around. Mismanaged and shady business practices. Avoid! more

These guys are a joke. They will continue overcharging your account, double charges in same month. They are far from professional! They had charges on my CC for stuff I never bought. What a bunch of scammers! Cons: Cons! These guys will over charge your CC every chance they get hoping you don't catch it! more

This gym is kept clean and in good working order. It is on the smaller side and is lacking much of the regular weight training equipment such as a hack-squat, standing calf, T-bar row, adequate weights, etc. Not very busy so you usually aren't waiting for equipment. Staff is only ok, not the friendliest. The owner is unapproachable with a bit of arrogance. Customer service is not a high priority to management. Also there was a non-negotiable $30 fee charged to every member for ""maintenance expenses"". This charge was not part of the membershipp agreement, but rather a random charge for no apparent reason. The good news is I understand the owner has run into some legal trouble and no longer manages the place. Hopefully improvements will come!
