I have been a member for over 15 yrs. I dont understand the bad review people are writing about. If you are serious about getting in shape. Why are you complaining about the contract. The only person at fault is you for not reading it. Pros: great staff, great environment. I train hard love this place I PIF at $400 Cons: 15% of machines are either broken or needs new padding more

Signed a contract after being told the first thirty days were free. Cancelled the contract within thirty days, and was initially told no problem. Gold's Gym continued to charge my account for a year, and when contacted stated contract had to be cancelled within seven days. After pointing out the $50 escape clause, Gold's Gym stapped communication entirely. Neverthless, still attempted to collect on over $1000, almost twice the original amount of the contract despite being informed by an attorney that it was illegal. This gym makes a good first impression with lots of new equipment and a young staff but after just a few weeks you'll see that it is all style and no substance. There is little variety in the type of fitness classes offered and the few instructors who are qualified are over-worked. It's easy to sign up for your contract but if you want to use additional services within the gym, there are hidden fees. I have tried talking to numerous managers without success; they are either high school kids who are out of their depth or they are too busy counting their money to return calls. I STRONGLY RECOMMEND AGAINST SIGNING ANYTHING AT THIS GOLD'S GYM. Pros: New equipment Cons: Incomptent staff, unresponsive managers, unethical business practices. more
