Gold's Gym

I joined this gym since it offered TONS of group exercise classes to choose from and they were offered at all times of the day. As a student, this was very important to me because my schedule was always changing. Also, I was interested in a gym which offered yoga. I found yoga classes offered at individual studios to be more expensive than the cost of a monthly membership at Gold's. I hardly used the equipment, other than the elliptical, and just attended group exercise classes. The gym offers yoga and pilates classes, as well as a combo class of yoga, pilates and tai chi (bodyflow) for all levels of fitness and experience. After a few months of yoga and cardio, I tried the body pump class and I was addicted. All of the instructors were very motivational and made the classes very fun. That class got me into shape quickly and I saw major changes in my body. My two year contract is about to end and I would absolutely sign another contract with Gold's, but sadly for me I just relocated to a city in TX which has few Gold's (and the few they do have don't offer many classes). more

I love this gym!! The amenities, equipment, to the child care are first class. The staff is friendly, and extremely helpful. The environment is not intimidating, and they even have a concierge desk in the middle of the club that is there to answer any questions I have. The aerobics classes I have are wonderful and I tried their Pilates class for the first time last week. They have a full service tanning salon which makes it very convenient. I shopped all the gyms in town and nothing comes close to Golds Gym. They are building a new 65,000 square foot facility in Vestavia which is supposed to be unbelievable. I am looking forward to this because it is going to have a lap pool. Pros: amenities, equipment, friendly more
