Goldfish Swim School - Yorktown Heights

AVOID!!!\r \r I bbooked a party for my two year old twins almost 3 months prior to the date. When I told my husband how much it was going to cost he had a stroke so we tried to cancel but the owner said that my $100 was non-refundable. What a joke. It would've been nice had he told me that when he was taking my money. So what do you get for $400?? You get use of the facilities for 1 1/2 hours. They had one snide girl and one nice girl running the party. The snide girl had absolutely zero concept of what was age appropriate - she was giving long-winded instructions to a group of children who were aged 3 and under. She was then getting annoyed because they weren't following her instructions. My sister caught her talking negatively to the other girl about the parents and the children. \r \r The place provides nothing for your party other than cheap plates, napkins, forks and juice pouches. Newsflash....not all parents give their toddlers sugar bombs to drink. He would not make any substitutions. You are responsible to supply food, water, decorations and cake. Chris had the audacity to not confirm the party until THE MORNING OF THE PARTY!!!! Thanks for keeping the stress off of me (did I mention the party cost $400?!?!?!?). My husband began calling him the Wednesday prior to the Sunday. Ridiculous. The bathroom was filthy. The toilet looked like it hadn't been cleaned in quite sometime - nasty. \r \r Bottom line is if you want to overpay for minimal services then by all means, go here. more

My Gym in Yorktown is such a breath of fresh air, and a certain welcomed addition to northern westchester. We have been to all of the children's programs up this way and we found a gem in My Gym. Both classes are parties are excellent and my children LOVE Coach Chris and his staff are very good. The place is meticulous as far as cleanliness, and I have not seen any children's programs any cleaner or more well kept. A certain program for your children; and worth every penny. more

As the place is convenient and fun for children, it is EXTREMELY dirty. On 2 different occasions, my child who does not attend daycare contracted strep throat 3-4 days AFTER attending MY GYM. They DO NOT clean multiple times a day as they should. THeir mats are dirty as is their ball pit. When I called to speak to CHRIS, the owner, he told me off, yelling and screaming. He is extremely unprofessional and RUDE. The staff is friendly but I assure you they do not clean nor do they enforce no sick children rule. Bellizzi's in Mount Kisco is much better! more

convenient place for childrens parties, and their staff is adequate. The manager is very fragile and has a local rep for being unprofessional. easily gets into arguments with customers. Get everything in writing. and be careful when dealing with the manager. Caveot Emptor more
