This has been my restaurant of choice for years. Even through these slow times the quality of the food and service have not dropped. Van (the owner) has an ability to remember you...

This has been my restaurant of choice for years. Even through these slow times the quality of the food and service have not dropped. Van (the owner) has an ability to remember your order (from you last visit) and any special cooking requests. You will have water and tea (if you would like) shortly after you sit. the food is good fresh and hot. As you are enjoying your meal you will hear Van greeting and welcoming her customers. You would think they were related in the manner in which she welcomes each customer. you will also notice that she remembered there last order as well. (I don't know how she does it) I would highly recommend this restaurant. even if for lunch as the kitchen is quick and the food is worth it. more

Excellent Service 4/15/2006

What others have said about the service is very true. The service provided by the owner/hostess is truly excellent! She seats you, personally takes your order, comes to check on you... She's always on her feet, going table to table, serving food... but always is able to make you feel like family... Oh yes and the hunan chicken is very good! It comes as a platter w/ steamed rice and egg roll or potsticker and soup! Yummm more

Golden Willow Chinese Restuarant 4/14/2006

By far the best hostess in the Bay Area and the best Chinese cuisine in the East Bay. She welcomes you with a smile and makes you feel a part of the family. She remembers what everybody orders and offers great suggestions! The food is excellent and the prices are just right. The signature dish of this restaurant is the Hunan Chicken, which gives an explosion of flavor and always has me coming back for more. Their menu provides a wide variety of dishes and the service is great. The serving staff is a reflection of the hostess’ courteous attitude towards its customers. This restaurant offers a comfortable dining experience and will have you coming back for more. more
