Terrible. I ordered fried rice and got white steamed rice with some veggies thrown in, and almost no meat at all. Also ordered pork potstickers, and they were flavorless. The dumpling sauce, a black soy-like sauce, was similarly bland. The only thing that made it edible was one small packet of sweet and sour in the bag that gave the food a smidgeon of substance. I'd rather order Golden Sun, get delicious food for 10 dollars cheaper, and deal with the diarrhea than order from Golden Lotus. Maybe I'm being mean, but honestly, it's Chinese food. How do you mess that up? more

Two star chinese food at its best. Portion sizes are adequate, but not enough considering the price. These people have no idea what General Tso chicken is supposed to taste like. The chicken was soggy, overly salted and had a mushy texture. more

I am a huge grubhub fan, I've ordered with GrubHub for about 2 years now from new York to Colorado, and of all the experiences, golden lotus was the absolute worst place to order from. I ordered pan fried noodles with a combination meat with broccoli on the side as a sub for the mixed veggies it comes with. 90 mins later i receive Uncooked and broccoli in a lobster sauce. They were not willing to redeliver, and this was the second bad experience in 2 years,so overall. I love GrubHub, but golden lotus get 0 stars from me. I hope anyone who reads this sees how disgusted i am with there service. I'll never order from there again, and if you really want Chinese, order from tsing tsao by king supers i think more

The dumplings weren't terrible but the chow mein was awful. There were barely any noodles. Kind of upset I spent my money on them. more

It was our first time. I was excited, as I had remembered having very yummy take out a few years back. We were there January 2010. The restaurant was cold, the service was slow and unfriendly, and the food was pretty flavorless. The beef was truly bizarre- rubbery and very fatty. I wouldn't eat there again. I am fairly new to the Boulder area and am HIGHLY disappointed with my decision tonight to eat at Golden Lotus. With all of the local (and tasteful) restaurants this town has to offer, it surprises me that they are still in business. I should have noticed the first warning sign when I walked in and there was hardly anyone in the restaurant, and no staff appeared to be around. Our server was quick and abrupt, not even pausing for a minute as he rushed to other tables (without even asking us if we wanted something else to drink besides water). The food arrives, which looks mediocre at best and only tastes worse with every bite. Trying to cover my entre with rice didn't even work, and I ended up eating about 1/4 of what I had in front of me, DISPITE how hungry I was. My company and I were ready to leave and had finished our food for a good twenty minutes before the server finally showed up, quickly throwing us the tab with the same complimentary fortune cookies you receive anywhere else. Don't the the prices fool you....the food is SOMEWHAT cheap because it tastes horrible and the service is only worse. I will never again dine at this restaurant, as well as mention it to anyone else except when asked of places to stay away from. Pros: It was near my house? That was a coincidence. Cons: EVERYTHING! I ordered Chinese for our staff because the office team is working so hard. One of the employees said that Golden Lotus was good Chinese. WOW. Everyone loved the authentic food, tender meat, perfect rice - people were planning dinner dates as we ate it and commented on the quality. It was on time. Fair prices. I could not want more from take out! We'll be ordering again, and again... Thank you Golden Lotus! Pros: taste, quality, low prices, fast service on take-out more

There are lots of chinese restaurants in the area. Our food was ok not impressive. I would recommend China Gourmet over Golden Lotus. more
