Pure Gold! 9/10/2008

My Grandmother called Golden Living home until her death a few weeks ago. We were up there several times a month and almost all the staff is great! They knew our family and always asked my grandmother about them which helped my grandmother feel like they really cared. Just like anywhere however, there were a couple of nurses who did not need to be working with people much less the elderly! more

Angels !!! 9/6/2008

Yes, there are angels on this earth! There is one special angel that took care of my mother the past few years at GLC. He was so gentle with her and would talk to her in a way that only a loving son would talk and care for a mother. I will never forget the last month of my mom's care there. Cordelle and his wife became part of our family as we watched my mom's health deteriorate after a stroke in August 2008. Cordelle Webb is an icon to the nursing profession and any one entering this profession could learn from him. I never worried when I knew Cordelle was on call during my mom's stay there. more

Great staff 9/5/2008

I was very pleased with this nursing home. They have incrediable nurses on staff that care for their patients. Corell Webb is the most caring nurse there. He takes so much time with each patient and when it comes to older people that means the world to them! more

Caring for the Elderly 9/3/2008

I have been a sponsor of my mother for the past four and half years as a resident of Golden Living Center in Oneonta.\r She was cared for by the staff and management. As any other facility always keep that watchful eye, be mindful of what your love ones tells you. There are always a few that makes the facility seem bad at times but as long as you keep on top of what goes on with their care they will be fine. \r On the same hand there are those angels that fill the gap when you can't be there. That is what happen with my mother at GLC. \r We ended up spending the last four weeks day and night with my mother and over all was very please with the care she got at the facility. One special angel was named Cordell. He became my mother's new son and we felt the same way. \r Over all the Golden Living Center is a great place if you have to place a love one in a nursing facility. more

    Medicare Home Health Care benefit - Medicare will pay for some "non-custodial" care if the patient is homebound and under the supervision of a doctor. The benefit covers skilled medical care delivered in the home by an approved Medicare agency.
