Golden Corral Buffet and Grill

Back in 2006 I would completely agree with malena c.'s review. It was a great restaurant that started going downhill. I am a local. The place was clean in the late 90's up until around 2005 or 2006 then, it seem to change overnight. Restrooms dirty, food burned, empty pans on buffet, service horrible and overall a dirty place. We ate there about once or twice a week until then. Between 2005 and 2008 we went once a year to give it a chance. It got worse every time. Then last fall we went in and the place was different. Register girl was smiling, waitresses happy, managers visiting customers. Cook grilling steaks was super friendly and the food was great. The place was CLEAN,CLEAN, CLEAN including restrooms. Someone said they had a new manager that was there back in the 90's. I can tell. WE LOVE IT. Thanks for the change. Now we eat there almost every week. more

While in Branson on vacation my family and I went to Golden Corral http://www.goldencorral.net/menu/hot.asp for lunch one day. We were very hungry, and we were not disappointed one bit in the abundance of food choices or the taste of the food. The service was not bad either. It's a buffet, but a server does bring you rolls, more plates, and whatever else you may need. I greatly enjoyed the Bourbon Street Chicken that my husband put on his plate. I ended up going to get some of it as well. Also I love salads, and there were many different types of salads available. I filled up on just a few of the buffet dishes so I couldn't try everything. :( But I did get some fudge right before we left that was divine. I definitely recommend this restaurant if you're in Branson and hungry! *After I wrote this review I read the other reviews of this same restaurant, and I have to recommend also that you come after the buses have left. Otherwise the buffet will be swamped.* more

I went to Golden Corral with my two daugthers. We have a Golden Corral near our home town, so I was expecting about the same thing. The salad bar at this GC let a lot to be desires. The line just to get food off the buffet was really long and we had to wait a while just to get macaroni and cheese. The waitress we had was rude and not very helpful. I am hoping that we just caught her on a bad day. I asked to speak to a manager and there was not a manager on site, at 7:00 p.m. on a Saturday night! I was suprised at that, since I would htink that would be a busy time. more

Golden Corral has a wonderful buffet. The grill, salad bar, regular bar, and dessert bars have plenty of choices for even the pickiest of eaters. This Golden Corral has plenty of room, is clean, and the waitresses are friendly. Occasionally it is packed right before the shows, so you may have to wait. It's best to come a little early, and like my grandma always said, "It's your own fault if you leave hungry!" more
