I would give them no stars if I could! I am on the Federal Do Not Call List, but they break the law and call me anyway. I won't waste my time reporting these scammers to the Go...

Good Job! 11/8/2010

They were fantastic to work with. If they said they were going to do something or be there at a certain time, they did it !!! more

Perfect! 11/8/2010

Outstanding work! I was especially impressed with the installation and how concerned they were with ""getting it right"". I am 100% satisfied and would definitely recommend Gold Coast Design. Thank you so much for this outstanding experience! more

They are simply amazing! 11/8/2010

It was a wonderful experience working with Gold Coast Design. From the first consultation on the design of the project to the finish of the installation was smooth. We chose nice Diamond cherry cabinets and granite counter tops. We would definitely tell our friends to use them ! more

JOB WELL DONE! 11/3/2010

Gold Coast remodeled our bathroom. It came out superb, they got all the finest quality materials we have chosen. The crews were all very courteous, very pleasent to work with. I highly recommend Gold Coast Design to everyone who's looking to remodel their inside of their homes. I've also seen the exterior paint job they did for my neighbors, it came out very nice. It looks like a brand new home. more

Great Company- Had a good experience all around 11/3/2010

My wife and I hired gold coast to remodel our kitchen and we are very happy with the results. The job was done quickly (under 3 weeks) and their price was fair compared to others we checked. We are very happy with our new cabinets and our kitchen looks beautiful. These guys delivered on everything they promised to us and we are very happy to recommend them to friends & family. I hope you find this review helpful. Frank and Linda Oneil. more

HORRIBLE!!! 9/19/2010

It is very scary and sad that a company this shady is allowed to stay in business! Do not give them the time of day, your money, or any respect. They claim that they started as painters 25 years ago. They also claim that they painted the Hotel Del & remodeled the Padre Hotel. Which is a complete exaggeration of the truth! You can see first hand what a scam Gold Coast is when you visit the company at Vickers St. The showroom is the door on the right. But what they don’t want you to know and will deny, is that the door on the left is the entrance to their “marketing room” which is full of telemarketers! When they call you, they are pushing for your address to have one of their sales people come to your home for a free estimate. They have a list of phone numbers that they call repeatedly & read a script to, “Hello Sir, I am doing some painting in your neighborhood. Since I am already in your area, I can give you a great deal…” These telemarketers are paid commission if they get the person on the phone to agree to a free home estimate & another commission if you agree to go to their showroom to go over the estimate. There are 2 telemarketing coaches in the room listening over their shoulders & prompting them what to say. \r \r If you agree to go to their showroom to go over your estimate, you will meet with Scott Gash. He is the younger brother who just started the kitchen and bath remodel dept. Gold Coast will tell you that they have been doing kitchen & bath remodeling for decades when the truth is they just started in January 2010. Their remodeling photos are fake as well. They are photos of model homes that they claim as their projects. Scott has been coached and trained for years to be a salesman. He has no clue about cabinets, countertops or anything else pertaining to kitchens or baths. When you ask him an educated question about products, he just shakes his head yes or changes the subject. He will tell you all about his failed past as a model/actor, baseball player & pro golfer and then talk about his 2 children to get you to warm up to him. He will feed you a bunch of sales lines & techniques while the sales manager Rick listens & takes notes from the other room. They don’t care about you, your family or your home. They are only concerned with closing a sale. They are trained sales people NOT remodelers. They are just telling you what you want to hear by their calculated sales tactics. They have sales down to a science. Also, if you do decide to meet with them at their showroom to “go over your estimate” make sure to brush up on the Excel computer program. They have your estimate already calculated in Excel on a projector screen. Scott acts like he hasn’t seen the estimate price yet & pretends to be shocked at how expensive the total price is. Then he’ll go over it line for line & bring down the price making you think you are “getting a deal.” He is an actor with sales techniques and will try to keep you there until you agree to do the project with them. He is pushy, sneaky and will go to any extreme to close a sale. I wouldn’t be surprised if they had a used car lot in the back! Gold Coast is a FRAUD & not worth your time!!!\r more

This company is a joke....30K paint job...LOL LOL 5/16/2010

They will do everything to close you on their magic paint job, and then even though they claim to be doing hundreds of jobs, an old guy in a beat up pickup shows up the next day, and starts work.... then you waive the right to cancel when he starts..........SCAM. They have a bank of auto dialers in their tiny little office, and telemarketers read a script to anyone that answers...LOL Cons: They will do everything to close you the first visit more

Thou shalt not lie or bare false witness 3/8/2010

I find it interesting that people who can't seem to tell the truth themselves always hide behind made up names, like, ""preacherofthetruth"". It's also very interesting that for someone who is willing to slander other people with misinformation, can't even spell the names of the people their slandering, if in fact, they had any or all of the facts to begin with correct. If this is the customer we think it is, then maybe they should explain that the ten year labor warranty was out of force for being over ten years, and that the $7000 was a quote for tearing down and hauling away, then rebuilding a rotting patio cover getting too much water infiltration, and then putting a longevity coating on it. And if this is not that customer, why keep us all guessing, and just call us and be polite and patient for what ever resolve we might be able to help with. Your competitor's opinion is also hiding because they can't with any certainty verify anything other than what you want to to believe through slander. Oh, and by the way who told you Gold Coast is going out of business, your competitor friend. Of coarse, they'll probably do the work for free, right? Pros: Quality work for over 2 decades Cons: Unreasonable misguided opinions more

Creepy 1/10/2009

I got a call from this company this afternoon. When I answered the phone a man said my name. I asked who was calling, and the man immediately hung up. I tried calling the number back because it came up on my caller ID under the name Gold Coast Design. The number was busy for quite awhile. Then when I tried again later it just kept ringing, and there was no answering machine or voicemail. Reading the other review, I bellieve that this person at this company is up to no good. Do not fall for the scam if you are called. The number listed under this company is not in service, but the number I was called from is 858-244-7823. Cons: creepy, rude, scary more

worst communication 8/24/2006

I recieved a call from this company. They gave very little info. and demanded to know who owned the home, and could they inspect the outside of the house on mon. I did not feel comfortable giving out information and offered to take a message. The man who called was extremly rude and continued to push me for information. I told him I was not sure who he was or what he was calling me about. Then he became even more rude speaking as if to a two year old> I said for the third time no thanks and hung up.\r I then attempted to get the number off my caller ID to make a complaint and see how they got my unlisted phone number. The number on the ID had a recoring saying in was no longer in service even though I had just recieved a call from them.\r I would have to say if this is any indication of the way they treat prospective customers, I would not recomend them to anyone. Pros: nka Cons: rude, rude, rude more
