Ok, this is pricy, this is decadent, and this is a chocolate lovers heaven. We splurged on this, an after dinner treat, and I spent $6 for four pieces of assorted chocolate.
However, know this, this is the best fresh, creamy chocolate I have ever had.
The store is in the City Center Mall, and the window will cause you to drool, with all sorts of candies in the windows and you can see the display cases inside. The store is spotless, and gold seems to be the word in the decoration. But the smell will draw you into the store, and will seduce you into giving in to the temptation of the best chocolate in town.
I purchased two truffles, and two chocolate covered cherries. They are presented in a small gold Godiva box and placed in a gold Godiva mini-shopping bag. Presentation is everything, and for $6, the four pieces of chocolate got a first class send off. The staff knows you are splurging here, and they give you your moneys worth. They will also offer you samples of some of the merchandise, but I didn't see anyone giving out samples of the truffles or chocolate covered cherries.
The payoff is in the tasting. This is sinful, satisfying chocolate, creamy and smooth and very deeply chocolate. There were a few of us lady friends in the store, and we all were standing outside the store with our purchases, breaking into the boxes frantically, and moaning with delight.
If you have some money to splurge on quality chocolate, this is the place to spend it. Grab a piece of chocolate heaven, visit Godiva.
