Goddard School

My husband and I graduated from WWP schools, and had moved back into the area 2 years ago. I was on the hunt searching for a quality nursery school for my daughter. I initially toured Goddard and passed on it. Regrettably. I enrolled my daughter in a newer school with pretty staff crafted artwork and pics of their students adorning the hallways. Pretty school with pretty promises=results right? Wrong. Getting information from my daughter in regards to what she was learning was like pulling teeth. My gut told me to stop in at random times and see what was going on. I was saddened and dismayed by what my drop ins had revealed at her nursery school. I knew she needed a new direction, so my search began again. My little one doesn't fit the mold for a "self reliance" teaching method so Montessori schools were out. The Goddard School is simply the best daycare out there! I was so nervous about enrolling my son in his first school experience (he had previously had a nanny full time) but from the moment I walked in the door, the owners and staff made me feel comfortable. We saw many schools in the area when making our decision, and none of them took the time to get to know us quite like the staff at Goddard. The personal attention didn't stop there! Everyone there knew not only my son's name, but mine and my husband's. They truly welcomed parents to stop in any time, and had no problem transferring ""check in"" calls down to the classroom. Ed and Diana even invited my son into their office at the end of every day to play with their ""Winnie the Pooh"" clock. My son adored his teachers, and would talk about all the things they did together! Because my husband was transferred across country for work, we had to leave the Goddard School and recommence our search on the West Coast. Even in a city as big as LA I could not find a location that even came close to the professionalism and genuine care offered at the Goddard School. As a result, I have gone back to in home nanny care. Now, I can only hope Ed and Diana will open a location out here! more

Constantly out of ratio, ( not having enough teachers to children ) number one priority seems to be money - not the well being of the children, unorganized and unprepared, hires just about anyone to watch the kids more

This is the best school that you can send your children too. If we had not moved away from the area, we would still be sending our child there. It is warm, inviting with great leadership from Ed and Diana. They cover both social and educational aspect of raising children. Just awesome place. The facility is clean and well organized. The staff is so flexible to accommodate the parents. If you are looking a school with day care services, look no further. This is it. more

The Goddard School of West Windsor has exceeded my expectations! It is difficult for any parent to choose a child care center. Mr Ed and Miss Diana made my choice an easy one. \r I have had experience working in a day care center, so when my husband and I decided to place our son in one, I already had certain expectations of what I wanted. I visited at least five other child care centers before contacting Goddard. Upon walking in the building I was greeting with smiling faces, a clean environment, and organized child friendly rooms. There is an age-appropriate curriculum in place and each child receives personal attention. \r It is now three years later and I still love the Goddard School. have been extremely satisfied with the facility, quality of teachers, and friendliness of the director and owners. My daughter started at the Goddard School around 6mo of age after her previous daycare no longer fulfilled my expectations (she just was not getting the care I felt she should be receiving). Due to my concern of the other daycare, Diane allowed me to enroll my daughter immediately. My daughter goes 4 days a week and LOVES it. The teachers are wonderful. They keep her engaged and learning. They push her to do well and have fun. The other day (after a rough week at work and working long hours) I stayed for about an hour with my daughter. I wanted to be in daycare there. It was such a wonderful time singing, dancing, reading books. The teachers made sure all of the children were involved in the activities. It was wonderful to see all of these children receiving this degree of attention and care. My daughter is truly loved at this Goddard School. The whole staff knows her, I trust the teachers, the staff, and Ed and Diane with my most precious gift every day and I don't see us leaving unti more

We absolutely love the Goddard School and the program our children are in. When I started out I visited a number of places to determine where to send my son and this Goddard School stood out as the best. He started when he was 1 ½ years old and he is now 3 years old. We loved it so much that we started our daughter a couple of months ago when she turned 1 ½. They both really love the school and the teachers and we are always amazed at how much they learn ? they come home and recite numbers, the alphabet and all the songs they learn at school. The teachers and administration are very friendly and always make sure to provide the best environment for our kids. They also provide regular progress reports and daily feedback so you know exactly how well your child is doing and what your child learned that day. I cannot say enough about this school and I am so grateful to have found a place where my children can grow and learn when I cannot be with them. more

When my husband and I first began our search for a nursery school for our 2-year-old daughter, I was so excited. After I saw what nursery schools in the area had to offer, however I was less than thrilled . . . until we were given a tour of Goddard. Being a public school kindergarten teacher, I knew what I was looking for and as soon as I finished my tour at Goddard, I knew I had found it! The staff is extremely warm and friendly. Every staff member knows my child by name! The playground is updated, safe, and fun. The hallways and classrooms are always adorned with beautiful decorations and student artwork. The facility is so clean that it almost seems to sparkle! The teachers are very patient, kind, and loving. I also think the curriculum is the perfect blend of social and academic. I love the daily written report I receive each day upon picking my daughter up. It not only lets me know important information like how much lunch my daughter ate or how long she napped for, but it also gives me the language needed to prompt conversation from my daughter about what she learned in school each day. I never worry about my daughter throughout my workday because I know she is safe, happy, learning new things everyday and being cared for by people who put children first. more

We started our son at Goddard at 3 months old. Being new parents, we were concerned with all aspects of our sons care. From what we had found after extensive research of other facilities, Goddard provided a loving and nurturing environment for our son. His needs are addressed individually and he absolutely loves his teachers and fellow classmates. He is 18 months old now and hates being picked up at the end of the day! It makes me, as a parent, feel so good to know that if I have to work, my son is spending his days someplace he loves. more

This school is excellent!n I cannot say enough good things about it. We researched others and this one was far above them in all areas- cleanliness, individual care and attention for your child, learning plans by age group, age appropriate classes and toys, rpoograms, etc. My older daughter attended from 2 yrs. old to 5 and my younger daughter is in their 3-year old program currently. The teachers and staff have gone above and beyond with both of my girls- help with potty training, understanding their individual needs for learning and nap time, even helping me when I was out of a job and needed additional care for my girls to attend interviews. They treat my children as if they were family and I couldn't ask for anything more! more

I love this school! My children have been there since the day they opened. Both of my boys have had very caring teachers that have nurtured them and cared for them each day. Both suffered from separation anxiety and not only did the staff help them but me too! The owners directors are hard working and really care about each family that cross through their doors. Great school! Wonderful staff who will always greet you and your child by name. The facility is clean. They meet the needs of your child with consistency and love. Both of my boys have gone through there programs. The school has a lot of special events - Fire truck visits, Magicians, Pilgrim programs, Holiday shows that make it a great place. The environment makes the child want to be there and the parent feel extremely at ease that their child is in good hands. more
