Goddard School

I would strongly NOT recommend Goddard. It was great when Ms Susan was in charge with teh former owners but all senior management and teachers have left, as many of the long-standing families based on the new owners. One of the owners first moves was to remodel one of the children's favorite play rooms into this office; he is never there, this was a change to improve his comfort at the happiness of the children...this is the new leadership style. We were there over 2 years and left after we brought up saftey issues to the director (Lauren) who told us she was aware of the problem but that it was pretty much my issue. I detailed the concerns to the owners and again was ignored/rebuffed. My impression is that they were not interested in addressing the concerns of parents but in protecting their management decisions at the expense of the children. We have left and have never been happier. I was told by friends to not consider Goddard, and now I know why. I wish we left a long time ago. more

Finding the right place for your child is stressful to say the least. There was something about this Goddard School that was different. The director, Ms. Susan, not only is an advocate for our child, but also a friend to our family. The facility has be recently renovated and is beautiful. Most of all, what is going on in our son's classroom is what we appreciate the most. He never ceases to amaze us at what he has learned at Goddard. Hats off to the teachers there who work so hard all day long. more

When going into this particular Goddard school, I was surprised at the lack of professionalism. With the assistant director sitting indian style with her shoes off and the director eating and not showing interest in my presence. I was barely interviewed yet hired on the spot. My references were never called. Everyday that I worked, they threw me into a different room. I asked many times which room I would be assigned to and they replied by saying they are not sure yet. I was told that I would be watching training videos yet nothing was ever shown to me. I was never put into the computer system to clock in, but they claimed that my hours were being recorded. Once I realized the unorganization of this facitlity, I chose to leave. When I received my paycheck, I was paid two dollars less then I was told I would be making and cut eight hours short. When confronted I was told it was because I did not complete ""training"", yet they never had planned for me to get trained. If looking for employment, do not work here, you will get screwed over! more
