I'm happy I found Glow and Tambrina. Tambrina has been cutting and coloring my hair for about 6-8 months now. She listens to exactly what I want. She has also done my makeup for a special night out ~ loved it. She's very talented. more

I just moved here a few weeks back. I love my facials/messages because I work hard all week and this is my relaxation. My appoinment was at 9am. You have to give a credit card to hold the appoinment. I completely understand and agree. I arrived 15 minutes early to be courteous. I had no expectation that I would start my appointement early just wanted to do the right thing. While this sounds picky to some, my time is valuable too. At 9:03 I went up to the girl and let her know that I was not going to wait at this point since the girl did not show up yet. I was already stressing and quite honestly feeling as if they seem to have enough business that I would not be important. I did not want to be rushed during my facial so that she could "catch up" The response was "well, we don't open until 9am" ??? Hello, my appoinment is at 9 and she has not arrived. She then stated, she just arrived. SO? by the time she gets set up and ready for me, it will be 15 minutes into MY 100.00 appointment. So lets understand. To make an appoinement the customer must give a credit card number, if they don't show you get charged 50% of the service but your lady can show up late, charge you the full amount and shorten your facial? A pretty looking Salon with no substance. To be fair, I will say all the stylist's were there waiting for their customers before 9am. Pros: pretty and clean Cons: poor customer service more

I followed Debbie to Glow when it opened - and I am so happy I did. I totally trust her with my cut and color. She always listens and does an awesome job. Not to mention how much fun she is! As far as the salon itself, it's very nice, great products, and friendly staff. I recommend Glow to all my friends. Pros: Nice atmosphere, fun people more

I had a great experience at Glow, the staff was very helpful and very nice. Terah definitely made sure I was taken care of throughout the entire visit. I thought it was great that my pedicurist actually took the time to talk with me and didn't try to rush me in and out. Terah also did the best leg and foot massage, it felt really great and made the experience really relaxing. The salon carries a good selection of products which I really liked, as well. I was recently referred to Terah for a massage by a friend. My friend always brags on Terah's technique, patience, attentiveness, knowledge and professionalism. I called to schedule an appointment with her on a Saturday at 2:00. I arrived for my appointment about 10 minutes early only to be told that my appointment was not with Terah, it was with a therapist named Kelly. I was a little upset since I had specifically asked for Terah,(because of the referral) but didn't want to make the other therapist uncomfortable...it was not her fault.(Kelly did say that this happens a lot with Terah's clients) I went ahead and got the massage....Kelly was very nice, but the massage....IT WAS HORRIABLE!! I asked the therapist 2 times to please lighten her touch a little, but no response to my request. On Monday I had bruises on both shoulders. I have massages twice per month and have never been bruised before. It does take an act of congress to get an appointment with Terah, because they will try to schedule you with everybody but her...but believe me it is very well worth it!!!!!!! (She does nails, massage and some type of sugar hair removal) I do go back to the salon to see Terah, but she is the only reason I return. The receptionist was not understanding, friendly or concerned about the appointment at all. Every time I go for a service I always feel as if I am interrupting the front desk personnel with their social time. Overall the salon is in a great location and very pleasing to look at, it just needs a few adjustments!!! Pros: Terah is wonderful!!!! Location is great. I recently had an appointment for a massage, manicure and pedicure with Terah...yes, she does everything! I must say that I had the most amazing day. I have been going to Terah for manicures and pedicures for almost a year, now. She does the most awesome pedicure ever....(Now I know why D Magazine did their write up on her!!) I recently did a massage with her for the first time and I do have to say , it was wonderful. I have never felt so great after a massage and even better the days after. Her technique is different, but it's great and it works!!!! Terah is wonderful and has gone out of her way on more than one occasion to take care of me...either to take the extra time or to fit me in at the last minute. I had my hair done by Shawna. She has great listening skills and gave me an awsome consultation which resulted in a great color and cut! She went over everyhing with me to help me decide what would be best for my professional and personal lifestyle. I got a warm greeting from the front desk girls and the salon was so clean and bright. Wow what an incredible experience!!!! Glow Salon & Med Spa has a wonderful staff and offers services for men that I have never experienced. I am a busy guy, I live in Uptown Dallas so the drive to Glow is a bit of a hike but well worth it. I would recommend for anyone to make the journey. The staff were all courteous, friendly, proffessional and focused on the job at hand. I have been to many different high end salon's in the DFW market and Glow by far outshines the competition!! I just happened to be driving by one day and decided that I could use a haircut so I went in and all of the stylists were booked however instead of letting me leave the owner who just happened to be there gave me the best haircut that I have ever had!! So I made another appointment to come back for some other personal grooming and Irene performed first time laser hair removal on my back which has made an incredible difference in my appearance and confidence. After reading the reviews of Glow I decided to make an appointment. I called and spoke with Nikki and she was very helpful and friendly and scheduled me to come in. I had asked for their best colorist and was given the recommendation of Jon David. Once I arrived and got checked in I was offered a drink and shown the waiting area which is very nice. Jon David came and walked me back to his station and we began getting to know one another. He took his time gaining information on what I wanted and past experiences. By the time we were ready to begin my service I was totally comfortable with him and excited. During the coloring process I became aware that he was actually an educator for the Color company and traveled extensively teaching other's how to use the product corretly and demonstrating different application techniques, so at this point I was very sure my color would turn out beautiful. After the color and cut he took his time explaining the products he was using and how he was blow-drying so that i could replicate at home. I can not stess enough how happy I am with the results. My hair has never looked this good and that same day a women stopped me at the mall asking about my hair and where I got it done. I would highly recommend this salon and their staff. I scheduled a day of relaxation and pampering to prepare for a busy weekend hosting a baby shower. I scheduled a 1:15 appt with Debbie, who is great, for a color. I scheduled a 3:00 appt with Irene, who is fantastic, for a lazer skin tightening. And I scheduled a 4:00 message with Tara for a massage, which is what I really needed. In the middle of the skin tightening I am informed that Tara says she doesn't have time to do my 4:00 message because someone asked for a service that would take longer so she would have to cancel my appt!! EXCUSE ME???? I HAD AN APPOINTMENT! Shouldn't the person who requested the longer service been told no they didn't have time and make her reschedule or pick another service that wouldn't take as long?? I went in for a day of pampering and relaxation and instead by the time I leave I was shaking because I was so livid. All I got was, "I'm sorry." SORRY DOESN'T CUT IT! I bought a pre-paid package for face treatments. I have spent over $2000 there. When my pre-paid services are finished I don't want to step foot in there again. And they don't keep very good records of what I've pre-paid and what has been used, so if you pre-pay any packages keep good records yourself. Plus, one time Tara the message therapist told me about how she was trying to open a spa in a new hotel going in around the corner and I felt as if she soliciting for investments. This is no way to run a business specializing in pampering and relaxation! I met with the doctor two days later for a Botox appt. While he had no idea I was there for an appt. (another example of poor management--he thought I was just there to discuss my issues with him), he did compensate me with an extra treatment, however, I will not be going back because it is no longer a relaxing situation for me. Debbie has been doing my hair since I moved to the Dallas area five years ago. There is no better stylist!! In five years, I've NEVER gotten a bad haircut or bad color job! Debbie's the only person I'd trust to do ANYTHING to my hair and, as long as I live here, she will be the only one to touch my hair! I followed her to Glow and think they are lucky to have her. The salon is beautiful, clean, and classy! I also started getting Irene to do bikini waxes and love her! She's so sweet and does a fantastic job! I've recommended many to people to Debbie and to Glow and will continue to do so! Pros: Clean and classy!! Cons: Some of the stylists are snobby! more

After having a terrible hair cut somewhere else...the hairdresser didn't listen to me and cut off way too much hair. I went to Glow after hearing about them from my roommate. Laura did a great job with color, cleaned up my hair cut, and taught me how to style it. I will definitely go back and plan to go for other services. Very trendy outfits, pleasant staff. I choose Glow after moving to the area based on reviews and they completely mislead me. I went in to ask for an eyebrow wax, stating and having a conversation with the lady about how I like my eyebrows thick and she completely hacked them almost completely off. When I asked to speak to a manager, they gave me a website and said there was nothing they could do. Now I am weeks away from my wedding and without eyebrows! This spa is close to my house, so I decided to give it a try. I have only had my brows done, but I will probably be back for some other services. It is very new and clean inside. They are pretty friendly and offer a variety of treatments. Pros: very clean Cons: none yet! more

I came in for a facial with Irene and loved it! I would highly recommend her! The salon is absolutely gorgeous.....so modern and clean! The staff was very friendly and professional as well. I will definitely be back for some of their other fabulous services! more

The staff at the Glow Salon should take courses in ettiquette. There is no excuse in this day and age for such an utter lack of manners. The staff should realize they are in the service industry. Glow was great. The staff was very attentive and friendly. I am new to the area and wanted a safe an clean place to get a pedicure. Well, I had one of the best pedicures ever...the spa is VERY CLEAN and conscious of health factors. They know their stuff. I highly recommened this spa to all. more
