I have a vintage Pioneer receiver and some old vintage stereo components which have a lot of sentimental value to me and they were having problems. Over the past few weeks, I have been checking out places to have my stereo equipment fixed and I was nervous about the choice. \r \r I gave Glen's TV a call and explained the issues. Brian shared his thoughts on what the issues might be and he came across as knowledgeable. Later, I stopped by in person at Glen's TV to discuss in person and Brian explained the Pro's and Con's and he came across as open, honest, and sincere. It was an honest discussion about the possibilities. Later that week I came back dropped off the equipment.\r \r I did receive a follow-up phone call re-confirming if I was OK with the estimated repair costs and I gave the approval to proceed. \r \r The technician (Martin) explained the work that was performed. He showed a lot of pride and attention to details on walking me through the work that was done. They had to rebuild the amplifier and a couple of other components. The inside was nicely cleaned out of all the dust that accumulated over the past 40 years (it looked like a cat had died in there). All the switches and buttons were cleaned and lubricated. \r \r When I got home and plugged it in, I was TOTALLY BLOWN AWAY with the sound quality. I do not remember it sounding this good before. It was like having a brand new receiver. They did a beautiful job on the repair and restoration on my old stereo equipment. Very satisfied.\r \r Highly recommend Glen's TV. The cost and turnaround time was reasonable. more

I am very disappointed in my experience with Glen'sTV. First let me start off by saying I had to call them almost every time I was in contact with them. I brought in a projector on December 31st. After a week, I called because I hadn't heard from them. They told me it needed a part they weren't able to find. Within a few minutes of looking on eBay I found the part and called them back to tell them. They then called me back later that day to tell me I needed to purchase the part on eBay myself so that they would not have to worry about eBay issues of refunds if it wasn't the right part. I had the part within 4 or 5 days and took it up there immediately. I didn't hear from them for over a week, so again called them first, only to be told that it was a difficult part to put in the way it came and that I would be charged $300 on top of the initial $35 fee. It is countdown to Super Bowl so the next day, January 24th I called and told them to stop the repair that did not seem to be in progress and that I would pick it up as is. Well I picked it up today, January 25th and fixed it myself within just over an hour of getting home. In summary, having gotten the part myself and later fixing it myself they did nothing but cost me time, money, and watching the championships on my own screen! They can rebuttal all they want, but they had it for 24 days and I could have gotten the part in 4 and fixed it in 1!!!! more

This is being written in response to the complaint that Mr. Scicluna made against Glens TV. My name is Brian Pickard and I am the owner of Glens TV. I wrote out a complete detailed response to this complaint but since the space at this site is very limited, i will keep a copy of it as well as the original invoices that included the FACTS regarding this job. I will make this available at the shop or via email to anyone who wants to judge for themselves if ANY wrong doing at all was done by my shop. more

Glen's TV Sales & Service has now repaired an old 1985 Toshiba television about 2 years ago and now more recently a 1982 manual VCR player/recorder. They were brought into the store and the $20.00 deposit placed on each. We were called within a day or two with an estimate of the cost which was reasonable. We gave the permission to go ahead and fix the items. On each occasion we received a call back from the store in about a week that we could come and pick the repaired item up. We have been very pleased with the service of this store. With the VCR player/recorder we called other stores and were unable to even find a place willing to look at it. Glenn's TV seemed to have the resources to obtain the necessary parts on a old but valued TV and VCR/VHS player/recorder, which will give us many more years of service and we thank them. We still like the old manual way of setting the recorder without having to turn on the TV. Pros: Got the items fixed in a timely fashion Cons: Had to take the large counsel TV into the store, no home service more
