I love this place and you will to. I eat here weekly and I try to get something new each time but I fall back on the combo which is the best deal in town. If they have the tomato soup ditch the salad you wont be dissapointed. I'm trying to get them to start a frequent diner program ! Also we like to go when the singer is working, makes a meal a special occasion. more

A family environment and great food! No one is a stranger all are extended family members. Truly an enjoyable experienced priced so you can bring the entrire family. A must if you are in the Round Rock area and looking for a sure thing! more

Great Place for a Relaxing Lunch 7/9/2010

I work near Gino's and frequent this nice Italian bistro often for lunch. The wait staff is personal, friendly and helpful. The food is quick and hot and the pizza is particularly good. Their house dressing is awesome! Pros: Great Wait Staff! Awesome Pizza! more

Their pizza is THE BEST (Gino's w/ the works) in Texas, I promise! To each his/her own but the entrees I have ordered were quite good including chicken marsala and veal picatta. Pros: Awesome Pizza & Authentic Italian Fare Cons: Check their hours of business. They might be closed. more

Good Food, service was bad 4/25/2010

Dont sit in the back, that is where the rest room is. Trust me on this. Food was good, cant go wrong with their pizza. But for what they charge, I would expect more. No bar to sit and wait for your table. I'll be back, but nothing there I am craving. Cons: No bar more

Wonderful food 11/24/2009

Ginos catered my daughter's wedding at Bella Notte and it was so delicious! Lot's of compliments from the guest. That's what you want to hear after working so hard on a wedding. We have since eaten there and the portions are so huge that I had lunch for two days! Everything is made from scratch and very fresh. So happy to find something close to home. Nothing ""special"" 9/24/2009

I ordered the Veal Parmesan which came with a side of spaghetti. It was OK, but certainly not the best I ever had. The total cost of the meal (with tip) including a soft drink and a garlic bread appetizer was $29.00 which I thought was WAY too much. I also think that their prices are way too high for other things as well. They show on the menu that spaghetti is $10.99, but if you want either/both meatballs or sausage it is $2.50 each ? that would mean that if you got both the total cost would be $15.99 for spaghetti with meatballs and sausage (not including a soft drink) which is ridiculous. The only reason I tried this place again is because Romano?s Macaroni Grill dropped veal from their menu (I sent them an email saying that an Italian restaurant without veal is like going to KFC and them not having ?chicken?)! Bad Experience 6/23/2009

After the wait staff screwed-up our order and served me before my wife got the Correct dish she ordered, we found the veal dishes were awful. THE NEXT DAY WE BOTH SUFFERED WITH SICK STOMACHS! I wouldn't feed my dogs there! Cons: bad food bad service! more

Italian Food with Personality 5/25/2008

Get out of your comfort zone-all the traditional items are great but if you want something excellent try one of the trout dishes or the mussels in zesty marinara or my new favorite the wine, butter and garlic--which even the appetizer size will do for a main course -just add an individual pizza (the best you will ever taste with a crust so light I don't know how it holds up to the toppings but it does!) which you can share if you choose and you are set. Service is very good and the whole experience has so much more charm than that of the italian chains around town. more

HORRIBLE SERVICE EVEN WORSE PIZZA 5/8/2008

Service was horrible! We were sat right away however NO ONE came to clean the table, take our order or bring us any water, i had to get up and ask for it, then the waiter threw the bread at us. Another waiter was too personal and sitting down in the table with a family, perhaps she was family but that looks really bad! Too many waiters and not even a decent service and the place wasnt even crowded only three tables on a thursday night! The pizza was terrible also, took forever and tasted like a fridge pizza. Then cause i complaint the waiter kept comming every 5 minutes to ask ""if eveyrthing was ok"" it gets annoying after 5 times. The only good thing was the fresh baked bread and garlic oil. EVERYTHING ELSE WAS HORRIBLE! Pros: GOOD BREAD AND GARLIC OIL Cons: HORRIBLE FOOD AND SERVICE (YOU CALL THAT ITALIAN?) more

Best Italian food in Austin Area. You will not find better Chicken Parmesan. Pizza is great too. If your idea of good Italian food is Olive Garden,you need to get over to Ginos. Pros: Pizza,Pasta,Salad Cons: Not next door to my house more

Great food, great atmosphere 12/15/2007

5+ stars for food, 2 stars for frozen deep-fried appetizers. 4 stars, overall. :-) Our meal was stellar! The staff was awesome, and the environment intimate and friendly. However, I'd stay away from the fried appetizers. You can tell that these are bulk frozen cheesesticks and ravioli. A friend's father works as a restaurant supplier, and I'm 90% sure he's got boxes of identical cheesesticks and ravioli in his deep freeze. Everything was great, and I highly recommend it! Just like Lil Italy!! 11/7/2007

Our dinner at Gino's was a wonderful experience!! We celebrated our wedding rehearsal dinner and were very pleased with the service and food. Very friendly staff and excellent food. The pasta pescatore was a big WOW, if you like seafood. We also had veal marsala, ziti al gino, and the combo pasta!! Everyone kind of shared off each others as everything looked so good and the taste was awesome. This is a great place to hold your rehearsal dinner!! We will definitely be back!! more

Best Italian Pizzza Austin and Round Rock have!!! 10/11/2007

I just tried Gino's Italian Restaurant and was greeted by such a sweet hostess. She took me to my table and I could smell the yummy bread and garlic in the air. All of the employees were so nice and siad hi as I walked by to my table. We were greeted by our server Marissa who was super attentive and gaev the specials and went on her way to get our wine. They have a great wine list. We started out with Calamari and it was so tender. We had a yummy antipasta. Then from a recommendation from Marissa I had a Veal Chop special which was unbelievable. My husband had Baked Ziti. Then we had a cannoli which tasted like a true sicilian dessert. Can't wait to return. Probably this weekend. Pros: The food, service, and location more

THE BEST ITALIAN FOOD!!! 10/4/2007

I really loved the baked ziti alla gino, the sauce was delicious as well as the eggplant and chicken! Our waitress, Sara was the best by far, she always made sure we had enough bread and their yummy oil dip. I even got the pleasure of meeting the chef Emanuel. I had such a great time I will never eat at any other Italian restaurant again! It is that good! Pros: great service and great food and great wine more

If you want authentic then go somewhere else. yes, it's nice and clean inside but the service is slow and the food is bland to below average. It's over-rated, you can get better tasting italian food at macaroni's grill. Remember when you go out to eat it's for good or great tasting meals. Great Pizza Parlor Taste! 9/9/2007

We were so glad to have found Gino's when we moved to Round Rock. My family loves great pizza parlor hand-tossed pizza. We eat at Gino's at least once a week. We would probably eat there more if they were open before 5 and on Sundays. So I guess that would be a con. But my whole family loves their pizza and me and my husband especially love a great italian salad with house dressing. They should bottle that! We have never dined in so I can't comment on that but the restaurant is always clean and service is fast and friendly. more
