Gina's (Mama Gina) is the only real Italian in town. Her marinara sauce is the only one I will eat locally. There are other Italian in Visalia, and they are good. You wouldn't make a mistake going to them. But if you want the real deal, and you want a truly memorable dining experience, go to Mama's. If you're lucky, Mama will wait on you personally. The restaraunt is a converted home, and this makes for an intimate and romantic ambience. There's a patio, if you're in the mood for outdoors - which is decorated nicely. Don't order cheesecake if you can't control yourself. It's that good. I always feel satisfied, cared for, and am glad to pay the check when I go to Gina's. My wife and I have a couple of memorable nights that started at Gina's - (P.S. - order some wine.)
Pros: Best Italian - period, Mama & staff - best, Deserts - oh boy!
Cons: Leave too damn full!
