When you have emergency surgery, you don't always get the chance to choose your surgeon. I felt blessed that the surgeon on call that day was Dr. Gilsdorf because I had at least met him when I had my colonoscopy. He did such a great job of removing my infected (his word was actually putrid) gall bladder that I recovered faster than he expected. The cowboy boots are a nice touch too.
