call for price to install faucet, would not give price, said I would have to pay $65 to get price. They came and gave nme a quote of over $800. I had my own faucet. Very deceptive, Kept finding other things wrong, they never turned my water back on and when I did it was leaking. Would not recommend. more

These scam artists charge $1000/hr for basic plumbing services. They ripped off my wife charging her $954 for resetting a toilet wax ring and a bathtub faucet which didn't need to be replaced. They worked about 50min. They are under investigation by the State Attorney General. more

Honestly, I was impressed and awed by the service that I received from Gillece this week. When I arranged my appointment, the operator was informative, kind and professional. Today, I was contacted by a cheerful operator to let me know that my plumber was coming---on the scheduled day and in the window of time provided. The plumber was professional, helpful, kind and just did a great job. He didn't pressure me, try to up-sale me, trick me, use fancy words with me, etc. -----he just did a GREAT job. We had recently moved in to our home and the air conditioner was not working properly and I wasn't sure who to call. The previous owner had given us a file of home repairs and warranties and I found receipts for maintenance on the furnace and AC by Gillece Plumbing and Heating so I called. Tammy took my call and sold me. She assured me that they had very experienced technicians who were very familiar with our system and that they would come out and check it out. Steve came out and looked the whole system over and told me that there were some parts that needed to be replaced to get it working but that overall it was in good condition. The AC is working fine now but we will need to have a few more parts replaced over the next year or so to keep it in top working order. The repairs that we needed were done and not anything extra. Steve went over with me the things that will need to be replaced in the future and about how much they will cost and about when they will need to be done. He also explained how my system works and I now know how to maintain it and what will need to be done in the future. Thanks Steve and Gillece. more

I thought I had a relatively simple plumbing problem, but unfortunately there were a number of things that needed to be fixed. I appreciated that they were able to come out early and stayed and did all the work the same day instead of having to schedule the work for another day. I was especially happy with the plumber, Steve. He was extremely polite and worked about 9 hours virtually non-stop. I needed a number of different parts and if Steve didn't have all of them in his truck, someone else delivered them so the work could be completed timely and very efficiently. My 10 year old furnace and air conditioner needed to have its annual checkup performed. We have been calling the same man that installed the furnace for regular maintenance every year faithfully. He regretfully informed me this year that due to the tough economy, he had to close his business. He recommended that I call Gillece because they were the only company in town that he knew would deliver the same quality of service that he had always provided. I saw there TV ad saying that they would do the tuneup for 19.95 plus a food donation and took them up on it. I was amazed at their prompt service - the truck pulled up in front of my house at 7:57 for an 8 AM appointment. Just being on time doesn't mean that much if the person that shows up doesn't know what he is doing, but the service technician that showed up was so knowledgeable, helpful, friendly and honest that I signed up for a multiple year service agreement on my furnace and AC. After watching the steps that Gillece went through to make sure they were checking out the furnace and air conditioner thoroughly, it wasn't hard to come to the conclusion that the gentleman that we had been using to perform the maintenance on our furnace had not done an adequate job, as much as we liked him as a person. I am confident in the operation of my furnace and AC now and will call Gillece again next year and every year. BTW the entire cost of a furnace and air conditioner tuneup was only $40 plus a food donation...Awesome!! From a customer more

Chad was kind, caring, empathetic and listened to my concerns, and walked me though the process of repairing a broken sewer main pipe. I was impressed by his ability to coordinate so many tasks yet he made me feel like his number on priority. The original estimate for the project from another company was a staggering $15,000 but by the end of project that number dropped to $7600 with Gillece. Throughout the project I felt Chad had my best interest at heart. It is with high praise that I recommend Gillece Plumbing and their representative, Chad C. I called Gillece on a Sunday afternoon. It was my daughters 7th B-Day and our whole house was stopped up and the main bathroom was overflowing. I was in a panic with a whole house full of moms and kids. I called at least 10 other companies with no answer or answering services taking messages. One of the moms suggested that I Call Gillece and to my surprise, the office was staffed just like it was a regular weekday. The dispatcher assured me he would have a plumber out within an hour. Steve from Gillece showed up at our door within 30 minutes and gave us what he called temporary relief but what I call savior. Only charged $99 for the service. First thing Monday morning, they came back and hooked us up with a permanent fix for the problem. Will definitely call again if we have problems and recommend highly. Deanne O. more

I've been a Gillece Services customer for over seven years and I have always enjoyed very good service from this company. I'm in the middle of selling my second home in Squirrel Hill, and it was part of the contingency agreement that I have things repaired before the sale could go through. Minor fixes of a leaky shower head, kitchen faucet replacement, a wobbly toilet, gas leaks and a couple of outlets and switches needed changed. Even though these things had to get done in a day and their schedule was already booked, Chad skipped lunch that day and ended-up working really, really late just to finish the project. This is the kind of professionalism that isn't always around anymore. I even tried to get other plumbers to come out and do the same job after hearing about Gilleces full schedule that day and worrying that they may not be able to make it, but no one would even bother to see the job when I told them that I needed it done the same day. We were told by another heating company that our furnace needed a new heat exchanger and was in a complete state of disrepair. We were skeptical of their claim since it isnt that old and has been working fine so we decided to get a secon opinion from Gillece. We are so thankful that we did. The other company (I won't mention their name here, but I gave them a bad review) was totally trying to scam us into buying a new furnace. There is nothing wrong with our furnace and it was proved by gillece. They used a video camera and inspected the whole heat exchanger inside and out and they were really trying to find a crack since the other company had been so certain. Ron from Gillece guaranteed that I do not have anything to worry about and said that i can probably get another 5 or 6 years out of our current furnace.
