DO NOT USE! First we were warned by the competition that they low-ball and then the move costs much more than the estimate. This happened to us. What was worse was that we used them for storage and they gave us one price to move us out of storage but once they got our stuff, the owner said that they under-estimated the price and needed to raise the price. When we asked him to explain, he was belligerent. Finally, we had to hired another company to move our stuff from the storage facility. They charged us $1000 to basically bring our stuff to the curb plus we had to pay the other movers. (Side note: The cost of the other movers and the $1000 was still less than what Gibraltar wanted to charge us to move our stuff out of storage.) They will screw you. more

Complete crooks! \r \r $1280.00 to move - clearly declared 120 days free storage on the estimate - they then supply papers (56 pages) which they claim are posted on the wall for all to read to support $1536.00 charges to pick up storage items within the 120 day period. \r \r Quote from the owner ""sue me"". more

.....dont use them ...the final charges were 4 times the estimate and they broke my expensive 50 inch plasma tv and refused to take responsibility despite the fact it was improperly packed and they dropped it more

Completely dishonest and rude. They give you a low quote and then double the price but don't tell you they have doubled it until they have your belongings under route. Not to mention that they pack waterford crystal at the bottom of the box with frying pans and pots on top of the crystal!... Stay away from this company. more

Top Shelf Service!! 3/5/2012

I recently divorced and needed to move from a large home in Rockaway NJ to Greenville South Carolina and used Gibraltar Van Lines. The movers they sent were very hard workers, protected everything before it went in the truck and were a pleasure to deal with. There were no damages and I am very happy with the overall service and the end result. I whole heartedly recommend them to anyone moving. Best Movers Ever!!! 3/1/2012

I loved these guys! We booked a three-man crew to move us from two houses in Chatham to one in Boonton Township, and they were quick, professional, and reasonably priced. Based on reviews and the good price quote, I was excited to hire them (but a little nervous, as with all moving companies, about how timely and careful they would be with my stuff). The guys were great: very fast, very friendly, and not a rip or a dent in any of our stuff. Their price, even with some extra packing which we were not able to do prior to the move, was still a good deal. They moved both of our places into the new one in one day. It was amazing. I'll definitely be calling them again for my next move. more

I just wanted to put in writing how pleased we were with the service we received during our move. Your men were kind, courteous, and worked quickly and efficiently. They made what was a very traumatic time for us as we move to a new community and a new church, a wonderful experience. Nothing was broken, nothing was forgotten, and they treated our belongings as if they were gold. more

Highly Recommend!!! 2/23/2012

I recently helped my mother move from New Jersey to Florida. She had lived in NJ for 34 years, and the move was difficult for her emotionally. Everyone at Gibraltar Van Lines was wonderfully helpful in making the move as smooth as possible. My first contact was with Juetta. She gave me confidence in the company. This was reinforced by subsequent contact with the crew of movers. My mother's prized possessions were driven down south and delivered on time, in spite of the fact that they encountered snow and other difficulties once they reached the area. Everything arrived in excellent condition. I would not hesitate to highly recommend Gibraltar Van Lines. They exceeded my expectations and were a pleasure to work with. more

Nightmare!!!! 10/13/2011

Unethical. Quoted a price then once they had our things in their storage they doubled the price. Unless you want to be a victim, find someone else. The charges were lower than most but at the end triple the cost! Moving is so stressful to start and then have this aweful company take advantage is terrible. more

This mover deserves no stars, but they made me pick one. 12/14/2010

This took my father's belongings and doubled his ""quote"" to well over double. Threatening lawsuits and a $1000 re-routing fee. Find another mover. more

Great Service 2/4/2010

Moved here from NYC. These guys wrapped packed and moved everything with great care. It was out of a 15th floor on a very cold day but the crew was smiling respectful and very helpful. The price was right and the service was excellent. I highly recommend them to anyone. Pros: Great moving co. more
