Giannamore, Melissa, Od - East Cobb Eye Ctr

Any bad reviews are nonsense. There is no other Doctor I would trust with my two boys. This establishment is first rate and know one is more thorough in their examination . I personally had been in accident that cut my cornea 4 layers deep. Had it not been for Dr. Giannamore and the effort and care that she and her staff took I may have lost my eye. I am not one who will go to the Doctor but they were unrelenting in making sure I followed up. I am so very great full for the tough love! If you need a eye doctor there is none better! All the other whiners should go to Wall Mart. You get what you pay for and I want only the best for my family! more

I think she is great, why would someone write about her use of a parking lot?! It is her property you parasite, write a review that counts. Your eyes are one of the most important organs in your body and I trust her to my eyes and you should too! more

Won't let people from Dance Studio next door use their lot even when they are closed-they tow!!! Melanie Moore was in town after winning So You Think You Can Dance and was visiting her old Dance Studio and they had cars towed and would not allow people to park in their lot even after they closed!!!! This is just not a friendly business and other reviews show they are just a bad place to visit. I am all for protecting your parking and your clientele's ability to visit you easily when you are open. But when you are closed and still are towing cars it is just wrong. Or when you are open and have 30+ spaces and only use 3 but won't even let people park in 10 or even try to accomadate then you are just not nice. They have no desire to try and work out a solution and were just downright rude., more

I was sad to read a couple bad reviews on here so I thought I'd throw my 2 cents in. I have had a great experience with Dr. Giannamore. Her staff is very nice and the office is run efficiently. My appointments have never taken a long time and I've never had to sit waiting in reception or in the actual exam room for more than a few minutes. Dr. Giannamore herself is very sweet and takes her time explaining things as well as answering any questions I have had. Purchasing glasses for myself was easy and reasonably priced for the higher end frames that they sell. I also asked for a copy of my prescription to buy a cheaper back up pair at another location. This was never questioned and there was no problem (unlike the other review). I am not the type of person to write online reviews, but I just felt that the negative reviews on this site were so far from the truth I should speak up. more

I have had the worst service ever with these guys. They would NOT release my prescription to a 3rd party so I could order contacts which is against the law. They are very expensive when it comes to contacts and they are extremely aggressive with trying to get you to buy a year's worth of lenses. I was charged for a full year of lenses at my first fitting of a different type of lens which I ended up hating. They keep giving me the run around when I request a refund for the difference. Their service is absolutely the worst. I will never go there again! more

I'm not one for going to the Dr for anything - but now in my mid-40s my eyes are changing and I needed a new perscription. Frankly, I chose East Cobb Eye Ctr because it was close and in my insurance network and afterward I'm glad it was. The appointment was automatically reminded via email and text message and when I arrived my wait was less than the time to fill out my paperwork (10min). Dr. Giannamore was very professional, took her time to ask what I did and explain how different perscriptions (progressive bi and tri focals) would work best in different settings (on the job versus computer use and book reading). The staff was very helpful and there was no pressure to buy anything. Dr. Giannamore is definately ""a sight for sore eyes"" and I highly recommend East Cobb Eye Center. more

I just received a collection notice from East Cobb Eye Center. In July of 2009 I went in for an eye exam (which I paid $170 for before I left). Right before I left the doctor said she was curious about my astigmatism and wanted to run one more test. She said the test would not cost me anything. I agreed, had digital imaging done and left after I paid. \r \r Nine months later, I receive a collection notice from the agency asking for $120 more for East Cobb Eye Center. I quickly called them up and they stated that they had filed a claim against my medical insurance (not vision) which my medical insurance had denied...thus I was on the hook for $120 more. This makes the cost of the eye exam $290. \r \r I had never authorized them to file against my medical insurance. I had only agreed to the imaging test because the doctor stated she was curious if it would show anything and that it wouldn't cost me. It is costing me another $120 and they won't waive any of the fees after hearing my complaint. \r \r Since I had provided my insurance card to them while filling out the 7 page new patient form they felt it was their right to convince me to perform an unnecessary test and to file against my medical insurance. A $170 exam is bad enough...an extra $120 is ridiculous. \r \r Don't trust the East Cobb Eye Center. They don't care about you...just your money. If you go there...expect a letter from a collection agency for your account! They had ample opportunity to fix this but refused. \r Pros: love to file against your insurance Cons: unnecessary tests more

I've ready a couple of negative reviews for Dr Melissa Giannamore Fierce on this web page and must strongly disagree. Dr. Melissa has been my eye doctor for five years and I have received excellent care from her, as has my husband. I have a complicated eye situation, including glasses, bifocals, contacts and dry eye syndrome with tear duct plugs. Dr. Fierce has handled all of my issues with great professionalism and success. I would highly recommend her to anyone. As far as the personal attacks against her on this web page, I find them cruel and uncalled for. She is a lovely person with a lovely family. I would consider the source. more
