Get A Move On

Worst Movers Ever! This crew damaged our furniture and the house we moved into. When I asked the crew how to report the damages, they said someone from the office would call me within two weeks. When no one called, I called the office. A rude office manager told me the contract (in fine print) stated I had to report the damage within two weeks...how convenient, right? And since more than two weeks had passed, too bad. I had even bought the jack wagon movers lunch, AND gave them big tips. DON'T USE Get A Move On! more

We were told by our representative (the owner's wife) that our moving crews (2 separate crews for 2 offices) would arrive that Thursday morning between 8 and 8:30. The first crew showed at 8:15 and started on that office right away. The second crew, which consisted of 4 men, who were responsible for breaking down several cubicles and loading pre-package and taped boxes, didn’t show till almost 9am. When our boss asked why they were late, a very young kid said, “we were at the main office at 8:15 and we had to drive here, you have to account for driving time”. \r After hours of watching this crew goof around, banter & joke with each other, take an almost 2 hour lunch, attempt to put our cubicles back together even though they did not bring the right tools (admittedly), remind us regularly that they expected a cash tip at the end of the day, they did not leave till 7pm. We ended up moving furniture, helping put desks together, lifting boxes, holding elevators and guiding Get A Move On’s crew on which items needed to be brought in first and set up first. If we didn't take pictures of the cubicles they never would have been able to put them together.\r Our bill was $1000 more than expected, the manager yelled and screamed that we better pay it when we called to complain, our desks were not put back together correctly and one of our staff members received a call from the police department who found one of his laptops and a printers in ""someones"" car, he didn't even know that it was missing.\r I called Get A Move On’s office to let them know about our experience. It seemed that Get A Move On’s manager had not said a word to the owners or the office staff about our complaints. As I told the girl on the phone about what had happened and all the details of our horrific move, she seemed surprised, apologetic and assured me that she would be letting the owners know. She said that she fully expected they would call apologizing for their crew and our experience. It has been 4 days and we have never received a call.\r This was the WORST moving experience that I have ever seen, I would NEVER recommend this company to ANYONE. more

I'd like to give a big hug to Get a Move On movers for the great job they did in helping me switch apartments last month. The guys were so quick and careful with my possession, while very friendly and understanding! more

Who knew I would find a top line moving company randomly by searching in the web. I got this moving company after calling one of the first links Google showed. I was convinced with the service and surprised with the nice and affordable price and when the moving day finally came they were on time and worked very hard until everything was stored in the truck. I agree with MichelleL35, because I was in the same situation, had to arrange my moving quick and called several companies, but the only one, which could act so fast, was Get a Move On. They accepted my order in the evening and the next morning took care of everything. Based on my experience, I can claim that Get a Move On is the best moving company in the area. Their employees are true masters in the moving business, very organized and quick in every task. Moving is always painful...no matter what you do stuff gets damaged or broken. I just got relocated by the company I work for with a 15 day notice. It's not a big deal because they're helping with the moving cost which is cool but I had to get moved to my new home then shuttle back and forth. I started looking for Wichita moving companies that would be up to the job. I saw some pretty decent reviews for Get a Move On and thought I'd take a chance with these movers. Their staff got everything setup, the price was reasonable and the movers were a great bunch of guys. I was a little worried about my piano cause it was really heavy and I didn?t wanted it dropped or worse but the guys from Get a Move On took great care of it protected it from any damage. If you're in a pinch and need to make a move use Get a Move On. I highly recommend this company. more

They were totally professional, very polite and courteous and hard working, moved a bunch of book cases, a filing cabinet and some heavy printers up and down two flights of stairs and did everything very efficiently with little time wasted. I enjoyed their service a lot and I would totally recommend them! more

They were hired by a couple who purchased an armoire from me after the 1st guy they hired didn't feel qualified to do it... Get a Move On came in & moved it with no problem. They carefully wrapped the armoire with padding & tape it up then used straps & rope to secure it. They were also very cautious about not doing any damage in the process. more
