German Chocolate Deliciousness 3/8/2010

I was a little hesitant at first; a bakery without a storefront? I found so many reviews around on the internet that I decided to give it a shot. I ordered a cake for my girlfriend's birthday and even requested some writing on the cake. From order to receipt, it took 4 days. Just like their website mentioned, 4-5 days was right on time. It arrived and it looked perfect. I almost pulled out a compass to test how perfectly round this cake was. It was about 5 inches tall or so and about 10 inches in diameter, so it was an ample sized cake. The night of the party, I kept thinking about this cake. It wasn't even for me, but I just could not stop thinking about wanting to try it! It was well worth the wait! It was so moist and not in an oily moist sense, it was fluffy moist. Surrounded by that dark chocolate frosting, with three layers of cake and three layers of the coconut frosting; decadent addiction lie ahead. It's been three days since the first slice was taken and it is as fresh as the first day, and that was two days after it arrived! This cake is a week old and I can't get enough of it! I would definitely recommend Gerald's to everyone and my girlfriend even says she prefers Gerald's over Metrotainment Bakery. Pros: Best German Chocolate Cake I've Ever Had more

Heavenly Angels 2/28/2010

Gerald was like an angel from heaven back in November when I found his bakery online and gave him a very special call for a very special request. \r My aunt who was living in Suwanee at the time was very ill and had been diagnosed with terminal pancreatic cancer one week before my call to Gerald. She was the ultimate of chocoholics!! She never chewed a piece of chocolate but instead lavished in it and held it in her mouth as if it was a hard candy. The darker and the richer the better!!\r When i found Gerald's website and all the wonderful reviews of his chocolate cakes I knew there would be no better way to celebrate the life of my aunt. \r I live in China and all my cousins were at home with my aunt at her bedside. I asked Gerald if he could please make the trip out to Suwanee to deliver the cake to all of them as I felt it was the best way I could offer them all comfort in such a difficult time. Of course, like an angel, Gerald said yes without hesitation. \r To quote my cousins.."" It was the best chocolate cake and the best gift I could have sent. We all toasted mom with our forks held high!""\r Thank you so much Gerald for giving my family this special gift and for going the extra miles to get it to them! \r You truely were an angel on the doorstep for them that day as my Aunt had passed moments before your arrival.\r Atlanta should be proud to have a business like yours in it's community!! more

Delicious German Chocolate Cake 2/15/2010

I ordered a German Chocolate cake for my husband's birthday. My husband is very pleased with his birthday cake. He compared it with the German Chocolate he got for a coworker on her birthday. He had to drive across town to get her cake and it did not taste nearly as good. This german chocolate tastes as good as my auntie's; moist, full of flavor with heaps of love. The fast delivery service with online pay by credit card makes it very convenient. Gerald's friendly, ""Can Do"" attitude is also a big plus. We thought that it was too late to order a cake since it was late Saturday afternoon and we needed it for Monday. I wasn't even expecting anyone to answer the phone. Gerald answered and assured me that it was no problem. makes you wish you had more than one mouth!! 2/9/2010

i ordered cupcakes for my daughters 11th birthday celebration. the cupcakes arrived ON TIME and were sooo moist, fresh and delicious that we immediately called to order the red velvet cake for our Super Bowl celebration. I made the order on Saturday afternoon and Gerald was able to fulfill the order for Sunday. The red velvet cake was not only BEAUTIFUL but again moist and delicious. I shared it with my co-workers who raved on how great the desserts were. I will definitely be ordering desserts from Gerald for all my events! Great desserts! 1/10/2010

Gerald, I don't know you personally, however, I feel I do through your desserts. They are so well put together. Not only do they look absolutely picture perfect, but they are sinfully delicious. That White Chocolate Cake with the strawberries is out of this world, those Turtle Brownies melt in your mouth and keep you wanting more, and let's not talk about the cheesecake. I have had the Strawberry, Turtle, and that Sweet Potato Cheesecake is something that will put you in a coma. Keep up the good work and doing what you do to make those Heavenly Desserts.
