Always will be in my memory 7/26/2011

I came here for a while. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, they have decent food. Especially a dessert, I always have wanted to ask where they get those yumminess from. It's a bit pricier than other places but it's all worth it. it's hard to find a non-Asian place in Elmhurst, so it's definitely a gem to have in the neighborhood. more

Great Diner 7/19/2009

This diner is one in which you can easily find a comfortable booth to have a nice meal without having people walking back and forth behind your chair. You can enjoy having a private meal without having other guests included in your conversation.\r I rarely have to stand on line to find a comfortable booth. \r The place is always clean and smelling good. with your lunch they serve warm bread and crackers right away; with dinner you get an arrangement of chick peas, beets and fresh cole slaw that is delicious.\r These are my favorites there: Fresh coffee, Belgian waffle breakfast deluxe, Cheeseburger deluxe, grilled chicken sandwich with fries(not ordinary fries), chicken with angel hair pasta, chicken matzo ball soup, and the Grilled sample platter (except the baby lamb because of personal reasons).\r I like the fact they serve your special tasty breakfast at anytime.\r I tried the seafood only a couple of times and did not like it very much, but everything else is great. \r The service is great, the staff is polite and attentive. I have been going there for years and only once I was treated rudely, which is not bad considering good service at diners is hard to find.\r Good job Georgia Diner. \r Pros: parking, good food, good service Cons: none that I can think of more

Skip the Georgia Diner 3/15/2009

Sub-par food served by sub-par waitstaff. The last time I visted the Georgia Diner my boyfriend and I walked out after waiting 10 minutes for a menu and a glass of water. Their food is definitely not worth the wait. Pros: location Cons: everything else more

One of the best diners! 5/28/2008

I come here all the time. Not only because it's so close to where I live, but more importantly, the food is great. Staff is friendly, prices are affordable. I like Georgia's better than Pop Diner which is across Queens Blvd and a couple of blocks away. Pop is cheaper, but the quality of food is better at Georgia's. Everything from their pancakes, to their pasta, to their sandwiches, to their desserts is yummy. There's nothing better than eating here at 4:30 am saturday or sunday morning after a long night of partying. You'll definitely leave satisfied. Pros: Food, Open 24 hours Cons: weekends are very busy more

Great place! 6/29/2007

This is a fantastic place. Each time I have been (at least 12 times) the waiter/waitress has been polite, quick and never get even 1 thing wrong. A great establishment that continues to perform to a high standard. Manhattan could learn a thing or two!\r \r Pros: Parking, Service, Price, Great booths with CD jukebox Cons: Lines on the weekend more

Wow!!! What a great place to eat comfort food!! 3/17/2007

This place is awesome. Service was great. The waitress was awesome. I ordered the tuna place. Lots of tuna, lettuce and all kinds of veggies. I was really impressed with this restaurtant. Pros: Excellent service...Food is awesome Cons: nothing more

Good food, lousy service 8/22/2006

We went last night, and were surprised at how slow the service was. It took a long time for the waiter to come and take our order, to check up on us, to bring us the check. Usually at diners, the waiters are all over you. It was a Tuesday night around 10 p.m., and the place was not that busy. The food was good (great hash browns!) and the atmosphere was nice. Too bad the service wasn't a little better. more

this place grew on me 5/6/2006

I started coming here about a year ago, and the service wasn't too great. I eventually started eating here regularly though, and I'm very pleased. Their food is fresher than most diners I've been to, and the staff is friendly. The food is amazing for the price, and on top of that, it's open 24 hours. Even when there are a lot of customers, they have more than enough seating, so I never had to wait to be seated. Pros: 24 hours, parking, affordable more

Do NOT let Kay, the psycho-waitress serve you! 1/1/2006

Kay is the nastiest person to ever walk this earth. Make sure you request a table or booth that is not served by Kay. She is ""sick"" as the manager told me after I complained. Cons: KAY, Kay, Kay more

Food is good but... 11/29/2005

I've been to many diners all across NYC, and this is by far one of the better ones. However, the other day my wife and I sit down for breakfast and quickly give the waiter our order. After a minute or so we discover the breeze from the front door is rather cold. We asked the manager if he can move us to another table. Even though the place was more than half empty he refused to do so because we had already given our order to the waiter and a change of tables would cause too much confusion. What kind of GARBAGE is that?! Isn't the customer always right? What a JERK! Needless to say, we had our breakfast elsewhere. Will we go there again, probably. The food is good, and we won't let one bad apple spoil the batch. But next time we'll choose our seating more wisely. Pros: Inexpensive, Good food, Ample parking Cons: Manager, Manager, Manager more

Not bad for an after-Target lunch 7/6/2002

My friend and I made the trek from Manhattan to Queens today to go to Target. After spending some time out there we got hungry and popped across the street to the Georgia Diner. The place turned out to be exactly what we'd been hoping for: a cheap place that could provide us with something a little different from any city diner. The menu is a little ambitious (I doubt one could order any of the seemingly few hundred entrees and expect it to be memorable), but that is the charm of this place. It is a suburban diner that reminds me of the places we would go after a late night out in the Midwest. The service wasn't amazing, but it was good for us. Just watch out for the excess mayo. Pros: Huge menu, Cheap, Tacky Cons: Tacky more

The wait was not worth the food 7/5/2002

It was such a horrible experience. The service was the worst and the wait was 45 mins for lousy food. Save your money and do not bother with this diner. more
