I found Georgetown Moving on google and saw that they had great reviews and gave them a try. My move went extremely well! My contact that I scheduled the move with was Paul, who was very personable and professional. He sent the contract as promised and I responded in kind. The day of the move, the movers were kind, helpful, and positive. The guys were great and had great energy! I had a smaller move, but they moved me in record time! I still marvel at how they were able to safely and efficiently pick-up so much so fast! After such an awesome job, I even got a call from the company to follow-up and insure that everything went well and as expected. I was impressed. No one likes to move, but this company made my move trouble-free. I highly recommend them. These Guys Are Great!!!! I had a few big things that I could not fit in my car when I moved from Fairfax to Bethesda MD. A friend had used Georgetown Moving Company, last year and had nothing but good things to say. Now I am the one recommending them because they were awesome! On the phone they asked what I needed moved so they could price it accordingly. I had a bed, couch, coffee table, some big boxes, etc... Shawn quoted a price that was way below what I thougt it would be. I was fully expecting that to double once my stuff was in the back of his truck, but man was I wrong. I ended up having enough stuff to fill the huge commercial truck, but the price stayed almost same. I was so happy when they were done that I gave them $20 each as a tip because they worked their asses off. more

On the move day, the crew showed up ten minutes early and immediately got to work. The team quickly determined who would do what to keep out of each other's way and were moving items through the hole and down the stair at the same time. They were always courteous, pleasant and professional and made good time moving me out. The movers were very careful but also very efficient. The work was completed in fewer hours than expected and I paid a couple hundred dollars less than estimated. more

I highly highly recommend Georgetown Movers. They helped me organize and move my boss last week and they were fantastic. From the first phone call they listened to what I thought we needed, came to do an on-site estimate (which I needed since it wasn't my apartment I didn't really know how much there would be), they sent a 5-man crew to fully pack and move, the guys were respectful and worked really hard to keep things moving and get the job done quickly and well. They arrived on time and ready to go and barely even took a break as they worked room by room and got everything carefully wrapped and packed. And even though there ended up being a lot more stuff than anyone realized- and took a little longer than we suspected- they still came in on budget (which, as I mentioned was 1/2 as much another company who gave us a quote). Everyone on the crew, the family-owned management, the equipment and supplies were all above my expectations and made the stressful job of moving go seamessly and as painlessly as possible. If you're moving and you're reading this, you should call them. I worked with Florin, but I bet anyone you talk to will be great! more
