Best

The whole experience was breathtaking. The desserts were the best in my opinion and I will go back on that simple merit.

Worst

overrated. expensive. there was always too much of something, needs better balance with flavors. nice view...

Ocean Terrace 5/20/2007

During the summer you can't beat the Ocean Terrace for a lovely lunch or sunset dinner. The food is wonderful and a great value for what they serve. The specialty drinks are pretty good and the wine pours are generous. The view can't be beat and with great food George's Ocean Terrace isn't missing anything that makes a great dining experience. Pros: Great food, drinks and view Cons: Don't go when it's cold more

A quick lunch bite... 10/6/2006

I've only been here once for lunch up on the patio area and it was superb. It definitely left a lasting impression on me. I wish to try the place out for dinner but the restaurant is a bit far from where I live. We only went there in passing to San Diego. more

Amazing food and service 8/27/2006

The food is amazing, and the service is impeccable. They pay attention to every detail. It truly is worth the price! Ask for a table near the window for a gorgeous ocean view. Pros: food, service, view more

World class place! 10/14/2005

This restaurant is very upscale and the atmosphere is awesome. I brought a date here once; it is a very good place for a date. The balcony overlooks the shores, and the seafood is top notch. I ordered salmon which was juicy and tender. The prices are high but totally worth it. more

pricey, but delicious and great view 9/20/2005

If you're looking for a great place to bring a date, this is it. Request a seat on the balcony to get an amazing view of la jolla shores as you enjoy your fresh seafood catch. During the weekends and nights I recommend making reservations though since it does get extremely busy and the wait could be awhile. more

Ocean Terrace Fine Dining 9/20/2005

Their Ocean Terrace is simply beautiful'; you can enjoy a reasonably-priced meal (probably $16-22) with the surf crashing next to you. Every seat has a great view of the ocean; it does get very crowded so be sure to make reservations ahead of time-- I did it online at opentable.com. The halibut with a cherry tomato vinagrette was fantastic; the chicken breast was a little on the dry side but still good. The great view and al fresco dining makes you want to come back again and again. more
