I don't understand how someone can give a restaurant a bad rating simply because a high chair was not available. I don't mean to be offensive, but at what point did the world start catering to people with babies? That's another story though, now about Geoffrey's. It is what it is, no pretense. The bar/lounge area is full of local regulars. If you want a bit more intimacy, there is a cozy dinning room with comfy booth seating. The patio is fun, with a great flower garden at the entrance. The food is simple comfort food served on white plates. It's inexpensive, good sized portions, something for everyone. This place has interesting decor, a pleasant and helpful staff, and for those coming from Boston....they have parking! I make the trip from South End at least once a month and will continue to do so.
Pros: Amazing brunch on the weekend.
Cons: The place has become so popular, its hard to get a seat at the bar.
