Gentle Giant was initially referred to me by another moving company. Our moving company does local moves and we needed someone to do a cross-country move for one of our customers. I was nervous the first time that we used them but everything went so smoothly and turned out perfectly. Working with Patricia was great. I have used Gentle Giant 3 times now and they are reliable. I have moved about 10 times in the past 15 years and this company by far is the best. I received a live person every time I called. My calls were always returned in a timely manner. Recently, I moved from Saint Louis to Los Angeles and I was very impressed with the movers.They showed up on time and moved everything out in about 2 hours. My furniture included a baby grand piano,a formal dining room and a lot of other heavy items. The movers did such a great job, I gave them an extra 100.00 for each mover. Not one item was broken. I would give Gentle Giant Moving Company 6-star ratings if I could. We have used them 4 or 5 times to move us back and forth from Lufkin, Texas to West Hollywood, California, and we have not had one bad experience. They were wonderful every time. Not only did they move all of our furniture but they were so helpful in making our moving experiences much easier. The first man that came out and estimated the cost was frank and courteous. He knew what he was doing and did not make us feel pressured. We actually went and met with the Gentle Giant staff in Hawthorne because we wanted to meet the people who would be moving our stuff. I dealt mainly with Patricia, who was fabulous. Everyone else was good, too, from the packers to the loaders to the drivers. They were very careful when they boxed everything, especially some nice paintings that we own. We really trusted them. One time, when we had to store our stuff, they were helpful in making the arrangements and getting our belongings out of our apartment quickly and on time. Price-wise, they are tops because they gave us advice on how to help lower the cost. Patricia got us as many used boxes as she could, which really helped with the price.
