Very disappointed with this office. We switched this last year to Gentle Dental because they accepted my husband's insurance and they had a ""pediatric"" dentist. There are 6 of us that brought our business to his office. I have no issues with the dentists themselves or the staff themselves, they are all kind and doing there best to help the non-stop flow of people. What I have an issue with is their system and process for making and explaining appointments. Any other dentist we've gone to we make one appointment and the x-rays, cleaning and exam are all taken care of at once. We only need to make return trips if there is a problem that needs further attention. It is very inconvenient to take the time to schedule the appointment, take children out of school because availability of after school appointments is minimal and then get them there, be made to wait 30 to 45 minutes to be seen only to have the child go back and sit in the chair to wait more and finally be seen by the doctor, only to be told that the 5-8 minutes he spent out of the 60 you allotted to be there haven't produced anything other than an opinion with no actual work done and that we need to schedule yet another appointment to see the hygienist. This all while needing to juggle the likelihood that the process has made me late for picking the remaining kids up from school. At issue here is their policy for making separate appointments for exams and cleaning. It's a scheduling problem and it makes the staff look bad and it's really unfortunate, because now I am stuck with no local dentist that accepts our insurance and no dentist office to take my children to unless I want to waste multiple hours of my time. My children don't get the preventative care they need and the money we pay towards our insurance is thrown away. Very, very frustrating and totally unnecessary.
