Dealing with Possible Fraud 11/29/2017

I purchased a Certified Pre-Owned 2015 Kia Sorento with less than 30K miles from Generation Kia in Oct. A month later the engine blew up while I was on the freeway at night in NC and I had it towed to the nearest dealer, who told me a complete lack of maintenance caused engine sludge and a new engine would be needed. However, the NC dealer said the master database had no information that the car was certified. I called Generation Kia who said it was indeed certified but over a week of my repeated inquiries and phone calls has been unable to provide any proof of certification. I spoke with Sales Manager George, Service Manager Luann, and someone in service named Manny. Now they are ignoring me completely and won't return my calls. They know MY FAMILY'S ONLY CAR IS IN A DIFFERENT STATE IN LIMBO AND THEY DON'T CARE. I called Kia Corporate today and gave them the VIN. They don't have records that it's certified either. I was also initially told by Luann in the Generation Service Dept that her manager said to email her my emergency hotel, car rental and Uber receipts and I would be reimbursed, which I did but so far there has been no follow up or refund. I will update this review once I have resolution one way or another. ** For helping me not have a nervous breakdown, I'd like to thank KIA Corporate, who has opened an escalation case for this, and also my employer's attorney service (an awesome benefit), who said the main businesses they sue on behalf of clients are car dealerships. Which I find both funny and sad. more

Awesome buying expierence, Paul B was our salesman and Scott was the finance guy, they knew thier stuff, I was overwhelmed by the friendly dealership and how family oriented they were, I would recommend them to everyone I meet and know, I will do business with them again, They go out of thier way for you, Can't get better than that, I love my new 2011 Kia Sedona.....Thank you all for the wonderful experience! I never had so much fun buying a car .the sales team went out of thier way to give me a good deal. They gave me free extras like a car care kit , oil changes and a free key chain. They entertained my kids with snacks and baloons ... Overall a great experience I would send my mom there!!!!!!! more

Worst experience ever! 6/29/2011

Good: The cars. Bad: them not checking in with me when I put a deposit down. And when I wanted my money back they hung up in me! They Sao Friday it would be in my account it's 3 days later ( not including sat & sun) still no money back in my account! They said they do pay roll on Fridays, when I called and wanted proof they put in my account it said they did it that day I was on the phone with then Which was a Tuesday!. Improvements: they need to learn how to talk o eachother and making their customers run around them! & call back!. Other: I went in looking for a Kia soul. This was a bad idea when I put money down and they told me since they have nothing on their lot they will look other places for me. A week later still no phone call! They didn't remember who I was or how much I put down which I kinda understand there's slot of people, but I wanted a car asap & they took their sweet time. I went in and got my depoist money down on June 13 it's now the 30 and still no money in my account! They also hung up on me twice! Never again. more

I went to this dealership after finding a car advertised on craigslist. I was quoted the advertised internet price of $9911 for a 2008 Ford Focus which my son test drove and we liked it. We sat down with the salesman who asked if we were financing. I said no, that I was paying cash and could he do better. He came back to me with a price of $13,300. When I asked what that was, he told me that they owed the bank $4000 which they had to included in the price. When I came home, I checked the reviews about this dealer and they were all negative. Now I know why. Beware of this dealership and all of the other Kia dealerships in this group! more

Worst experience Ive had with any type of business 5/26/2011

Bad: . They did not follow through on contract terms and literally stole money from us on down payment. Their customer service from that point on has been non existent. I have dealt with the most unprofessional people on the phone and had no follow up to assist me with any questions. I have never been so appauled by a corporations behavior. The worst part about this is that I am stuck for 5 years with a car I'd like to spit on their logo everytime I get in it. SHADY SHADY SHADY. Stay away!. more

Went there 3 times. First time I waited 40 minutes and didn't get any help. Second time was a little better. Third time I put money down and took the car home. Unfortunately car was faulty and could not be sold. I Did get my deposit back. They are terrible with making deals- even cash deals. They do try to rip you off. I was lucky and was able to pull out of my deal due to the car being a lemon. Once you get a salesperson, they do explain everything about the car and are helpful. This was just my experience. more

if there is anything you do in your life please listen to these reviews!!!!!!!!! I didnt and i got jerked!!!!!! This place is the sleeziest ,scam artist, Hustlers that you will ever meet in your life!! its not worth the thought of even going to trying to go there!!! we looked at a car and they told us the car was 11,900.00 when everything was all said and done adn 3,500.00 done payment they charged us 22,000.00 dollors for a car that they said was 11,900.00 and the paper that i signed that said that ( they would give me a copy of by the way) is no where to be found that says the car was worth 11,900.00. trust me im a mother and an honest person and would not recommend this place not even to the devil!! more

Had to call the cops to the dealership when my husband was threatened. We placed $100 deposit to hold a car when we decided not to take the car and asked for a refund they became very unprofessional and nasty. Wouldn't even give them a star. Stay away from these nasty crooks!!!! more

I have never seen such RIDICULOUS service. The bumbling idiot of a salesman "Greg" couldnt even tell me much the vehicle I was interested was selling for. He acted like I was annoying him on the three different days I went there. They worked out payments and when I arrived to pick up the vehicle after putting a deposit on it and having my insurance switched they told me I wasn't completely approved and after I was the payments went up over $50 dollars a month. Then when I wanted my deposit back they gave what looked like something my 8 year old made in art class to request a check. Also I had called several times during the day and was hung up on and ignored for an hour before I got through to someone. To further matters I made an appointment for 3pm, when I got there, they told me the finance manager was out to lunch and would not be back for at least a half an hour. Do your self a favor and stay away from this dealer, they will do damage. There are PLENTY of other dealers STAY AWAY more

Don't buy from this dealer 9/15/2010

I called Generation Kia and spoke with Willie. After initially helping me out, he failed to call me back on several occaisions. Having a buyer for my vehicle hanging in the balance of their inadequicies, I caved in and called them. I calmy explained the short time frame i had and needed to know where this sale stood. With money in hand and ready to buy a Kia, I was rudely sent to voicemail at least 10 times. After losing the first buyer for my vehicle, I lost it. I called and demanded an explantion as to what was going on, keep in mind that this was in a span of one full week. Finally I got in touch with my salesmen and he explained I was approved for a loan. Finally all done right? Nope! Turns out the price of the car drastically rose from $18000 to $23000. do the math, that's a $5000 dollar increase. SCAM ARTISTS!!I decided that this was a bad omen and pulled out of the deal. When I called back the following day I was told to speak to accounting about my refund, when i told John that I would also like to speak to a manager he said no! then hung up on me 3 times. Please don't buy a car from here, you will get ripped off. !!!!!! more
