This place is a vegetarian's dream grocery store, with a focus on natural and organic goods and a gargantuan selection of fruits, vegetables and vegan products. But carnivores won't feel neglected, as stores also boast a vast selection of top-quality meats, poultry and fish. Also expect fresh-baked goods, house ware, a floral department and a well-stocked vitamin and personal-product section. Deli offers hot and cold prepared foods and artisanal cheeses. more

Gem Meats & Produce is Old School! 8/20/2009

Looking for a real butcher shop? Try Gem meats. Hidden in an unassuming strip-mall this place is truly what the name implies, a gem! It's not cheap, but you really get what you pay for. Want your beef aged, no problem they've got lockers. Steak? They ask you how thick you want your cut, and carve it right there! Chicken? Be careful when you order by the breast, they sell you the whole thing! (Both halves) If you want to really impress at your next dinner party or BBQ, go to Gem meats. more

Gem Meats & Produce 3/27/2009

I love this store. They have the best quality meat. We love to get our shish kabobs from here for our barbecues. They make them with just the right amount of meat to actually feed adults not like the baby ones you get at the grocery store. Their produce is very good too. more

Simply the best! 8/12/2008

Gem meats offers the best quality steaks and seafood i have come across in California! Beef is aged, and cut on site from actual hind quarters of Harris ranch beef. They also have an extraordinary marinade section as well. (Try the teriyaki beef kabobs...yum!) From the chicken to the chilean sea bass, i have always been satisfied with their quality. Service was spot on, but one butcher stands out above the rest, Pat. Ask for him and you won't be dissapointed! (He's pretty cute too ladies!) more

Walking into Gem Meats and Produce is like walking back in time... Although the exterior has the plain/ordinary "strip-mall" feel, the store inside has that warm and inviting small town friendliness and service. They offer first class meats, fish, produce, deli, and other unique food items. \r \r The butcher shop is what sets Gem apart from the store chains. Want a thicker cut? Need your ham/pork ground for Ham-loaf? Have a large party order? Gem can do what others can't...just ask!\r \r They have been located in the same place for over 25 years and have a large dedicated clientele. When only the best will do, visit Gem and get what YOU want. more
