I contacted Gearhart's for a "quote" on Struts for a 93 Camry. They quated me the same price as PepBoys in Temecula! $495! I took my car over my neighbors mechanic here in tow...

Best Mechanic I have ever delt with. 5/18/2011

Sure you can probably get it done a little cheaper somewhere else. However, I have no issue what so ever with paying a little more for profesionalism, premier customer service, and quality of work. I know when I have anything done at Gearhart's it will be done right the first time and in the off chance I am not happy they will make it right without question. more

I'm driving a car that's very reliable because Gearhart's Garage Inc. keeps it going! 5/17/2011

We have nothing but the best things to say about Gearhart's Garage Inc. Every person there is wonderful and friendly. We've been going there for a long time so of course we're on a first name basis with them now. The service is just fabulous! We have never been disappointed with the work they've done. If ever there's an issue or something needs to be fixed, which is very seldom, they'll take it right back and Wally will make it right for us. If I could, I've rate them all 10's! Best customer service ever!!!!! I came in worried about car repairs and Gearharts put me at ease and took great care of me....treated me like family...I listened to the mechanics singing while they worked....Are they happy????Will tell everyone I know to come to Gearharts! more

I'm willing to drive my mobile home 60 miles to get it service there. 4/25/2011

I've been taking my cars to Gearhart's Garage for 25 years, and I'm just very satisfied with them. They've done a good job. I take my car, my wife's car, and even my mobile home out there for service. Even though I live 60 miles from there, I'm willing to drive out there, despite the cost of gas, to service the thing! It feels good to go in there and know you won't be taken advantage of. 4/22/2011

I've been going to Gearhart's Garage for a long time. At this point, I'm friends with some of the employees there. I just have a very good feeling when I go in there, especially for me as a woman, taking it there by myself. I don't feel like I'm being taken advantage, because oftentimes they will check out the car and not find something wrong, and they won't even charge me for checking it out. There are also time when they have found something pretty technical. They take some time with it then, driving it under various conditions, hot, cold, whatever, to makes sure nothing else is wrong after they've fixed it. I'm very happy with the quality of work I have had done there. They're very honest, so you know you won't be taken advantage of there. more

Exceptional, extraordinary, fabulous, everything you need in a mechanic. 12/17/2010

My husband started using Gearhart's Garage in the 1980s, and I started there in 1990. I have continued to use them since and couldn't be more happy. They are very professional, very courteous, and they work with you if you have a little bit of financial difficulty. I feel like part of their family. The quality of their work is excellent. I have 3 vehicles, and I would not take them anywhere else. I hope Wally lives to be 150 years old. As a woman who doesn't know anything about cars, it is usual to feel as though I am being taken advantage of. I have never felt that way at Gearhart's. They have my complete trust, and I have complete confidence that they wouldn't tell me something that wasn't so. Rosmarie Patrick more

Professional, knowledgeable, and honest. 11/5/2010

I have been going to Gearhart's Garage since at least 2005, so for a long time now. I keep going back because the communication is good between us, and I believe they are competent and very honest. There has been no reason for me to feel otherwise. I have worked with both the owner and his son, though mostly with the owner, as far as direct communication. I don't entertain any thought of going elsewhere. When we had some electrical trouble with our old Jeeps in Cost Mesa, we had them towed up to Gearhart's. That ought to tell you something. I would highly recommend them. They give their customers personalized attention, and they very professional. I believe Wally especially is extremely knowledgeable. He knows his cars. I have taken multiple vehicles to them, and I have had no complaints. J. Johnson more

Truly awesome. 11/4/2010

They are wondrous. I found Gearhart's Garage shortly after moving to California years ago. I had to take car to the dealer, but it was driving so poorly, I was afraid to drive that far. So I took it to Gearhart's, which was closer. I had never been there before, but I pulled in and and they took a look and determined that the problem was just the air pressure. It turns out the dealer had the wrong air pressure. They changed my air pressure and they refused my money. I have not gone anywhere else since. I have the utmost confidence in Gearhart's Garage. They are the only place I will take my car. They are honest, reliable and they have managed to keep the same people on their staff from the first time I went there. Deborah Bevard more

Repair with Warranty? 6/10/2008

I had my car Towed to Gearhart's With a Breakdown on the Weekend. I was told that my Distributor was bad and that is what caused the breakdown. I was surprised to hear that I needed extra repairs, New plugs,New wires, new air filter, New air intake boot,Injectors cleaned, and new fuel filter. When I told him I had just installed new wires, new double platinum plugs, and new air filter he said he should still clean the plugs and put on the fuel filter.I understand Wally is in Business to make Money but I know he would have a more Loyal Customer if he would give options in Prices. > What would have been wrong with him saying "Distributoris what caused BreakDown and Price for that is $395.00." that will get you back on he road but I found your Air Intake boot cracked and that has left dirt into your injectors. I recommend repair of intake and clean Injectors.You could also need a Fuel Filter. Total for all that will be $995.00." Would you like the extra work done?"I only receive $850 per more
