Good place for Pizza 1/22/2007

I like the vibe at this pizza joint. Plenty of yummy toppings and nice staff. Just don't ask about the special sauce. LOL. No just kidding. Anyway, you'll enjoy the gay 90's of it all. See ya there! more

A Down-to-Earth True Pizzeria 6/11/2002

This place is just a few blocks walk for my wife and I, and we are huge fans. Their pizza has a medium-thick crust, a very tasty sauce, and a good selection of fresh toppings. They also have a large selection of beers on tap, from the traditional Coors Light to Anchor Steam and local microbrews. They have your run-of-the-mill pizzeria salads with the ol' iceberg lettuce, pepercinis, some rubbery tomatoes, and some limp cucumber slices. But, we come for the pizza and beer!! Nevermind the rest of the items. Also, the atmosphere is the quintessential pizzeria feeling. The inside has all kinds of memorabilia on the walls, red & white checkered table cloths, etc. The outdoor patio is the place to sit on a warm evening, though. You can enjoy the weather and people watch as you relax with a cold beer and a hot slice. Pros: Good Traditional 'Za, Patio, Price Cons: Stick to Pizza Only more

  • History: Now occupied by the Gay 90's Pizza Company, this 1864 building was one of the first commercial buildings in town. It originally housed a general store, bar and Wells Fargo stagecoach stop. The upper floor housed a brothel for many years, and some Pleasanton residents have reported seeing a full-figured ghost lady in the front second story window. Chinese laborers constructed a connection to the town's underground tunnels. Welcome: We hope you enjoy your visit here at the Gay Nineties web site. Feel free to roam around and learn more about what we have to offer. If you have any questions, feel free to contact us. At Gay Nineties, we make great tasting pizzas from scratch and are famous for our sour dough specialty pizzas. We have won Best Pizza from the Tri-Valley Herald since 1997! We are also a National Restaurant Association award winner. For a complete dining experience, don't hesitate to consider us, Gay Nineties. Reservations: Reservations are availabl e every day for lunch and Monday-Thursday for dinner. Reservations and orders can be made seven days a week during operation hours.
