Scranton Endoscopy Center, 519 Ash Street, Scranton, PA Very little concern for legal rights of patients. When I arrived the receptionist ""read"" the permission slip from her computer screen to me. She had obviously shortened what the document actually said and gave me her ""interpretation"" of this legal document. Next, she had me sign an electronic pad. She would not allow me to see the actual document that I had signed ""electronically"". She insisted that she could see it on her computer screen and that was ""good enough"". Obviously annoyed, she pointed to a laminated document on the counter top and said that was the same thing. After I stated that I would call my lawyer if she did not let me see what I had to sign, she agreed to print out the document. The printed document did not match the laminated document on the counter. When I tried to read the printed document that she finally gave me, she became very annoyed, reached through the window, and ripped it out of my hands. Then in a snotty tone, told me that I would have to speak to an administrator. Finally, an administrative nurse gave me a copy of the permission documents. I am very uncomfortable doing business with this firm again. Making it difficult for patients to read and understand the legal documents they are required to sign is highly unethical.
Pros: medical care
Cons: Very little concern for legal rights of patients
