The staff at Garner Animal Hospital are just the best. Dr, Edwards and Dr, Zobel are the most kind, compassionate people ever and the other staff are friendly and efficient. They are all about taking the best care of your pet without trying to make money on uneccessary shots etc. I've have had dogs all my life and this is the best vet I have ever been to and I wouldn't take my dogs anywhere else. I'm so lucky to have found them. If you're looking for a down to earth vet who really cares, I highly recommend Garner Animal Hospital more

OK 4 routine exams but go elsewhere for serious illness 12/20/2011

Here's our experiences over nearly five years. First visit was a routine exam for all my critters. Glowing reports yet a month later my cat died of cancer. During a routine canine visit Edwards said she'd know if my dogs were walked by the condition of their nails. When the nails confirmed they're exercised often Edwards didn't give an apology. When one of my dogs got fleas Zolbe said my house needed to be fumigated and yet none of the human adults in the house were itching from bites neither did my other dog nor cat have fleas. Loving, compassionate, professional service 11/29/2011

I first came to Garner Animal Hospital with a very sick, senior kitty I had eventually to let go. I came to GAH after reading many positive reviews, and from a dismal, cold experience at my previous Vet's. It was a heartbreaking experience to have to let my kitty go, but Dr. Zobol and the staff there are calm, compassionate, and I can't say enough good things about all of them. I have since brought all my animals to GAH for routine treatment, as well as a surgery, and my opinion of the doctors and staff there continues to be held in the highest regard. If you are looking for compassionate, quality, professional service, then this is your places for your furry loved ones. Pros: null Cons: null more

Known Staff at GAH for Years 9/4/2011

I've known the staff at GAH for years. They are the most informative, compassionate, and competent staff of professionals, who deal with animals I have ever met. I came to GAH back in 1965 and still continue to take my dogs from Knightdale to Garner. I have the utmost confidence in GAH. I am sorry for all the negative reviews I read, but I guess everyone has a bad day sometimes, huh? more

I;ve been taking my dogs there for over 30yrs it's the best vet hospital there is in my opinion Drs Ewards and Zobel are wonderful and compassionate Iplan to take my dog kids there forever 10 stars are not enough!!!!!! ok 4 stars!!!!! more

Dr. Zobel and Dr. Edwards are the best vets I have ever encountered. They are compassionate and wonderful with both animals and their "people". I trust them with all my animals and always will. The front desk was never a strong point in the practice, but they have hired some new people and there is more energy when you walk in. more

Wonderful! 10/7/2010

I only wish there were more than 5 stars to give Dr. Edwards. She's the best vet I've ever met - friendly, good with the animals, knows what she's doing and what she's talking about and knows how to explain things so I can understand what she's saying. Even my dogs like going to see her. more

the TLC you have for my Sassy was awesome. Thanks for a wonderful place to bring my girl to.....no one beats you.......my husband, going to pick her up and I asked him to stop and get her flower toy....she loves little stuffed animals...you don't think she'll bite me for leaving her up there do you, no darlin she loves Dr. Edwards........she loves me too but she bites me----------only because you pick at her - thanks for clipping her nails - i will polish . You are wonderful the way you take the time to explain everything to me........... more

Dr. Edward a Truly Compassinate Vet. 2/13/2010

Dr. Edwards is the very best in this practice. When my precious cat got sick she talked to me as if she had known me and my cat all her life. We talked and she told me my cat was very bad off and to go home and think about what was going on with him. So after many tears and deciding to let my precious angel go in peace I called her and she came in on her day off to see us. When she came out in the waiting area to get us, she looked at my cat and said "hello my friend". We went in the examing room and she confirmed what I thought was going on. He had cancer and so after seeing him not eat losing down to 12 lbs. and not able to move around, I decided to put him at rest. Dr. Edward was so compassionate and understanding, she let me stay with him the whole time and let me have time with him after he passed. Dr. Edwards carried my baby home with her in his favorite blanket and she laid him to rest. I will continue to take my animals to Dr. Edwards, you cannot ask for a better vet. Dr. Edwar more

Dump the receptionist! 2/10/2010

The veterinarians are wonderful! The receptionists are uncaring and rude. I think they should get people up front that care about what they do and have a passion for animals. One of the vets took care of my cat that had a rare disease. When it came for him to pass away, the receptionist said I had to make an appointment! He was in pain and I wanted to release him from the pain. I called back to stress that I HAD to bring him in. She said that's the rules and we can't help you until 10:00! He passed away at home. Thank God he wasn't near that uncaring person! more

Garner Animal Hospital is the best around!! 10/29/2009

The hospital has been around since the sixties, my grandpa used to take his pets there and I would never choose another vet to take care of my babies. They treat my pets as if they were their own! The staff is very nice and they handle my pets gently, the Doctors are so sweet and they always make my pets better no matter what kind of situation they are in. Every time we have been in for a visit we havent had to wait long and they spend as much time as needed. The hospital isnt the most modern around but there prices are VERY reasonable. I would reccomend this vet to anyone who is looking for a vet or is not satisfied with the one they have. more

Sherri Edwards is THE BEST vet! Highly Reccommend 9/11/2009

Wow these people REALLY care about animals! My boyfriend and I have taken our boxer here before to get a cyst removed from his docked tail, and they were really great and organized, got us in and out the next day with a successful small surgery. That was a great experience, but what really made me get on here and write a review was what happened today. My dog had cut the bottom of his foot while playing in the backyard and lost a pretty good amount of blood. We rushed to GAH and realized they were closed (they close at 6 & it was 6:30). A nice lady happened to be pulling out from the back of the lot and she stopped and we told her what had happened. They were already all locked up and closed. She reopened and took a look at our precious baby, it ended up just being a puncture and we received antibiotics and treatment instructions. Her name was Dr. Sherri Edwards and I don't know what we would have done if it wasn't for her! We definitely would have spent the rest of the night more

Dr Edwards is the best, very kind and obviously loves animals. She always takes time to explain everything and answer all questions.. I moved from Garner to Cary but wouldn't take my dogs anywhere else. I recommend them every chance I get to anyone who has pets. more

AVOID THIS CLINIC. READ OUR DISAPPOINTING AND EXPENSIVE EXPERIENCE. 4/19/2009

took our two dogs to GAH in preparation for their permanent move to Africa.Discussed with Dr Zobel the need for 'chips' to be implanted.She said she had prepared other animals for international travel.We believed her to be knowledgable about this aspect.This doctor implanted the wrong type chips: they were for USA, not acceptable for EU of Africa.We had to return within the 10 day window prior to departure for their health certificates.We asked that this final fee be adjusted or waived, since we were now forced to go to a NEW clinic (i.e. initial exam fees, plus chip placements) at this very late moment to get the CORRECT chips.(the proper chips would not have reached GAH in time to be given.We had to find a vet in Virginia at the departure city, get them put in, then send that documentation to USDA for final papers.TAB: $215 additional we had to pay to the second vet: a totally unnecessary expense that could have been avoided if GAH had been knowledgable, as they professed to be. GAH is the BEST in the Triangle!!! 2/7/2009

I have been to several vets in the area and they are the BEST!!! I had one dog that had a rare disorder and they called professors at the vet hospital and anyone else that might know. They referred me to specialty hospitals and when all of the doctors said the same thing that there was nothing that could be done, they cried with me while he died. I had another dog that was having seizure problems as a puppy and they asked so many questions and when they found out that we had been spraying outside the house for ants and bugs, they called the company and had them send over an ingredient list to see if it was something in the spray. After we quit spraying he immediately quit having seizures and has been healthy ever since. They don't have the newest building but they DO care about their clients and I love them!!! more

will not be going back 2/4/2009

We will not be taking our dog back to this vet. One vet was nice, but the other acted like our dog was crazy and mean. Our dog is small and has never bitten or lunged at anyone. She barely even barks at people! We asked why they thought this of her and they said because she peed and backed away when they tried to give her a shot. Crazy!\r \r When we took her to get checked on for a medical problem, they refused to put her on the table, claiming she was too "wild", gave us medicine without even touching her, and then charged us 60 bucks (for what? i don't know!)\r \r When we tried to take her to get treated for a bee sting they were "too busy."\r \r We finally switched vets when we realized that they 1. hated our dog and 2. weren't giving her appropriate attention and care (despite the $$$ we had given them between boarding and checkups)\r \r The new vet showed us her folder from the old vet and there was a note that said "may need muzzle". About a dog who has never bitten anyone. Nice! more

Very Caring Vet 1/7/2009

Dr. Edwards is an excellent vet. Even before I got my puppy and took her there, she would come to my parents house to help with our sick Lab and she wasn't my parents regular vet. When another vet was ready to put her down, Dr. Edwards was not. She tried something on our dog and it prolonged her life. She treats the animal like it's her own. She gives you helpful tips and information and diagnosis them somewhat like a human would be diagnosed with things. No, the front staff is not the best in the world, but I wouldn't take my animal to any other vet! more

Garner Animal Hospital 10/8/2008

I have been with Garner Animal Hospital, since I first got my license and I am 53 now. I found a wonderful veterinarian by the name of Dr. Marlatte who cared and loved my "babies." Over the years we have grown on each other, but now I have Dr. Edwards and Dr. Zobel working with my beloved pets. I drive all the way from Knightdale to Garner, just so my "babies" receive the same love, care, and attention they would receive when I first started. more

I take all my pets to Dr. Edwards, and the staff are are excellent. They have been taking good care of my "babies", good advice, for me are the best!! Is not hard to get an appointment, Samantha is very nice, staff make you feel like they know you and your pet for years. For me is the best place to take pets. more
