Gardner's Tax Svc Inc

I have been getting my taxes done for the last couple of years through Gardner's Tax Service. I got a letter from the IRS two days before Christmas stating that I owed $200 within 30 days. I took this letter I received back to Gardner's Tax Service and spoke with the lady that prepared my taxes for the previous year. She acted like she had no clue as to what was going on and then blamed the issue on a discrepancy in her computer. I then spoke to another women at the company that was higher up and she was so beyond hateful and rude to me and told me there was nothing that they could do. I cannot believe that I have recommended to a few friends of mine previously to use their tax services and they ended up screwing up one of my their taxes as well. I will NEVER use their services again. They have lost a standing customer due to their lack of expertise, unnecessary rude and unprofessional behavior. This is NOT how you treat recurring customers. It's one thing to say there is nothing they can do, it's another to be down right unnecessarily vicious and rude about it, it was totally uncalled for! I've never seen such unprofessional-ism in my life!!! From now on I will use H & R Block they know what they are doing and they stand behind their services! more

Went in to pick up a tax extension form...wasn't greeted was told to sit down and she's get to in a minute. After sitting quietly for over 15 mins. Still wasn't tended to...until a lovely lady named Danielle asked if I'd been helped? At which time I explained to her that I had not been helped or greeted on ly told to have a seat and I would be taken care of in a min ( I was there for almost 20 mins before anyone even asked what I needed or why I was there). Shortly after a white customer came in and was greatly welcomly and immediately (as I am black). Also mentioned that spoke with someone twice that day and asked them to fax the paper work...it never came....than as I mentioned that to the lovely and helpful Danielle the RUDE lady piped up and rudely spoke to me for only the second time to inform me that the fax machine had broken down...don't you think you should call the customer back and let them know that? I would think you would try to provide your customers with better service especially when they have so many other choices as to where to have their taxes done...sad. more

We've trusted Richard with our business since 1981. They handle our quarterly forms, our business and personal taxes. I depend on them to contact me when forms are ready to be picked up and filed. Contrary to other comments, I always get the help I need when I call them. I wouldn't expect immediate response in the crunch of tax season because they are swamped with business at that time and already working very long, hard hours. We've recommended them to others over the years and those who tried them have remained loyal customers. more

Ok, I probably shouldnt procrastinate on my taxes, but I did. Gardners tax service was very busy, and they were totally booked. But I went in, and a wonderful lady was able to prepare my taxes. The fee for preparing my taxes was MUCH less than the people I used to use. And they were able to do my taxes while I was there (so I could ask questions as I watched her work). By the time I was done, the support staff put all my envelopes together with addresses. All I needed to do was put stamps on it. Super easy. Next year, I wont dread tax season. I will just let Gardner's take care of it. more

Doesn't walk you through things, so you better know how taxes are done prior to walking into their building. Doesn't inform you of payment prior to beginning, (our previous tax service took the payment out of the refund, Gardener's does not.) Does NOT return phone calls, left 6 messages in 3 days trying desperately to get hold of my tax preparor to answer a question, on the 4th day got a voicemail scolding me for not getting back to her. GUESSED on my tax return about amounts from a previous year. I cancelled the check, picked up my W2's and will NEVER use this service. EVER. OH, and by the way -- I had a 4:30 appointment, and wasn't seen until nearly 6. more

I've had Richard Gardner do my taxes for almost twenty years now. Before that, I did my own and I only stopped doing that when my returns started to get too complex to do without studying the current rules for more time than I wanted to spend. The first time, I took a return there I completed and had Richard look at it and he found legal deductions that more than compensated for the cost of his services. He is polite, he is interested and he is knowledgeable. I highly recommend him. I've never had a problem getting through to his office but, during tax season, it is a very busy place and that has to be considered. more

Got a letter from the IRS about a problem with my return. They will not return several messages left with them and they seem to always 'be with a client' and are too busy to take a phone call. more

a friend had recommended this place years ago and we also highly recommend it. They are so helpful in saving money when it comes to taxes. Any deduction helps and they know it. we have been using them for years and they have always been so nice. This is the most organized place I have seen in a long time. Highly recommended. more
