pretty good cafe food 10/4/2005

garden cafe has its good and downs.. i come here most of the time for lunch. The meals here are around 4-6 bucks which comes with soup and a drink. at times its hard to find nearby parking on the weekends but on weekends its pretty easy to find parking. Also with their new renovation it makes the resturant more appealing to the more younger crowds. more

Yet another random cafe review 9/27/2005

This cafe seems to be one of the more popular ones out there probably cause its open late. Other than that I see no reason why it is. The food is good but it's not good enough to seperate it from all those other asian cafes in the area. Parking is okay on most days because no one really visits the other shops on that block. more

Newly rennovated, Garden Cafe definitely stands out among the many Hong Kong - American fusion cafes on Valley Blvd. The extensive lunch menu varies from pan fried noodles to chicken steaks, spaghetti to fruit and shrimp salad. Price is a definite upside, although they have raised them since last remodeling. For lunch, drink is just an extra dollar, and choices range from red bean ice to boba thai iced tea. Garden is a popular joint among young adults, especially later into the evening. more

Decent to Great 9/17/2005

I love this chain store. I've tried the one in Rowland Heights, and it's nothing compared to this one in Alhambra. The one in Alhambra has great food, a great place to eat as opposed to the totally opposite for the one in Rowland. Definately try this place out, because you might like it. more

Good Food 9/15/2005

They have good chinese food. Everything from chow mein to fried rice is good. They have a lunch menu where the price is really resonable. You can add a drink with lunch for a $1.00. Can't beat that!! The only draw back is the environment is noisy. They are very busy during lunch and dinner hours. more

newly remodeled garden cafe in alhambra looks 100% better than it used to and i think the food got upgraded as well. before this would be one of the last late nite restaurants that i would want to frequent but now i find myself suggesting this place. it's really popular among the young kids though especially in the summer time or after the clubs let out. more

Slow Service but Ok food 8/21/2005

Garden Café is not so good if you want to get quick service. From my personal experience, I had to wait quite a while for my food to come. Regent and Garden Café are from the same owners, but the restaurant service has a huge difference. When some of my relatives asked for refills, they just placed our cups on the counter. Five minutes later our drinks were brought back, but we didn’t know whose was whose because we all had the same kind of drink. more

Garden Café is an alright restaurant. Some of their food is alright while others aren’t as good. Some of the best food they have there are the noodles with XO sauce. This restaurant also serves boba which is a popular drink nowadays. They have many different types of food and the price is decent also. more

Good lunch specials! 8/10/2005

The only time I go to Garden Café is during lunch, because they have lunch specials. The price range is about $3-$6 and the meal comes with soup and a cold drink for $1 extra. I haven’t been there for awhile, but I heard that they remodeled the place, so I suppose it looks nicer. more

Bad service 8/5/2005

It's always busy in the cafe and the waiters always give you bad attitude. Sometimes when they gave you the wrong food or if there is something wrong with the food which makes you want to return them, they will keep asking question and find thousands of ways and excuses to make you keep the food. They don't put customers as their priority, that's all I can say. Parking is not easy to find during weekends. more
