Gamestop

I just got back from driving 40 miles round trip to this gamestop. I called ahead asking if they had a game that was sold out at several other locations because of a promotion going on. The employee, Jason, said yes they have it. He even offered to hold it back for me until i got there. I drove there and when I arrived, the store was full. They had boxes of un-filed discs all over their counter. They turned away another customer while I was waiting for him to find the game he "held back for me". He told that customer "I guess we were sold an empty case" because he was unable to find the game for him. I waited for 15 minutes only to be told that he could not find the game he had told me only 20 minutes earlier that he put back for me. Huge waste of time. I would go 50 miles out of my way to avoid coming here again. more

Yes, you might find some vintage games for that old Nintendo 64 or intellivision, but they won't come cheap! Staff is friendly (usually) but not always helpful. Better selection and much better values at pawn shops or ebay. PROS: conveniently located in center of shopping mecca CONS: money,money money! more

They have the absolutly worst prices for video games I have ever seen. Why do they stay in business? They carry things that yu willl find Nowhere else, not even the internet occasionally. They can sometimes even mess up with their reserving. A friend of mine reserved a copy of Halo 2, and when it was supposed to come in on November 9th 2004, they messed up and told him his copy would come in on the 21st instead. more
