Have had my hair cut by Gabriel for some time and it is great to go to his salon. Beautiful, elegant, and welcoming atmosphere. Recommend the place to all more

He is amazing with curly hair cuts. Now I can wash and go, I've been looking for a stylist forever, someone who can handle my curly hair, someone who's willing to listen but will also offer suggestions, etc A friend of mine recommended Gabriel, not only is Gabriel personable and down to earth, he did AMAZIG cutting my curly locks perfectly! subtle layers that really compliment the way i like to wear my hair which is LONG. so happy to have finally found a terrific stylist. i would recommend Gabriel to anyone and everyone. two thumbs way up. three cheers. bravo! more

After a disastrous haircut at Bumble & Bumble, I was looking for someone who could not only fix it but also give me a great haircut. I actually found Gabriel a little by accident while I was trying to track down a former stylist with a similar name. I saw the great reviews he was getting and decided to talk to try him out. I had already made the decision to get my shoulder-length hair chopped into a pixie cut, so I knew I needed a truly talented and skilled artist to do- and Gabriel is that artist! I LOVE my short hair, I have already been back for a second cut, and I get so many compliments from people, especially people in the business who know what a truly great cut is. Oh, and he's a really nice guy too, won't even let me tip him!! more

I have been going to Gabriel for years! I cheated on him once and had to have him fix my bad haircut and he made me gorgeous. He truly cherishes people and wants to make everyone feel special. Gabriel, treats everyone like family and wants everyone to meet and interact because he truly makes it his business to become friends with his clients. He is so warm and loving. I went to Gabriel a few weeks ago, on the suggestion of my cousin. I had been getting my hair cut at regular barber shops for years and they'd always do a fairly decent job, but none of those guys ever seemed to really know how to style hair... just trim the excess. Consequently I always seemed to find myself with a tangled mess a few days later that had no relevance to me or my personality. Gabriel Shimunov, who had set up an appointment with me. The personalized treatment was the first thing that caught my eye. Gabriel took the time to examine my hair and work through it, talking to me constantly about what he suggested and giving me tips on how best I should style my hair that would fit me. It was a great experience. When he was done I was surprised to see that it looked like the haircut I had always wanted and visualized for myself. The very best part was that I actually now had the understanding of how to actually style my own hair. The bottom line I feel is this - don't settle for less. You really don't have to and you really can have the hair style you want, as long as you get it done at Gabriel. more

Gabriel really is great After waiting three months for a really terrible angled bob fiasco (from another salon) to grow out, I was so excited, nervous, desperate, to get a new haircut. I made an appointment with Gabriel, because a friend of mine gets consistently fabulous cuts from Gabriel?s salon. Needless to say, I was really anxious (I was worried that at the other salon I had done a poor job of describing what I wanted and that was the reason I got the worst mushroom/shelf /'80s skater cut ever) so I printed out a bunch of photos and brought in a ton of magazine pages to show to Gabriel. Much to my relief, as soon as Gabriel saw the cut, he went, ""Oh! I see the problem."" Then he described to ME exactly what he was going to do, and it sounded like the haircut I had been wanting for so long. I didn't even have to show him any of my photos. A short time later, I had the perfect haircut. I was SO happy and relieved. I highly, highly , highly recommend Gabriel. He gives you input, but also wants to make sure you get what you want. Gabriel even called a week later to make sure I liked the style -- when is the last time someone has done that for you? more

Gabriel cut my hair few weeks ago and it was the best hair cut I had in years! In a scale of 1 to 10, I give Gabriel 11. My husband also had a hair cut with Gabriel 2 weeks ago, and it was just what he asked for! I am a very busy mother with two children, so I like to relax and have some 'Me-time' when I visit Salon Gabriel. The salon is modern with a hint of indulgence and is very clean and tidy. After trying several other 'Fashionable Salons' in Greenwich - and being extremely disappointed - I was relieved to discover the gem that is Gabriel he is so attentive and knowledgeable. I feel that he listens to me about how I want my hair to look and he suggests suitable products for my hair without going for the hard sale. This is a great salon and I would highly recommend it. more
