Gorsline Runciman Co Inc has excellent customer service 11/28/2009

I have the utmost confidence in this funeral home. They were always polite and courteous, prompt and available for anything. My father died in 1960 and since then several of my relatives have used this business. They have always done top quality service for me and my family members. Recently a few years ago, when my mother died (2006), their bldg was reopened after demolition of the old bldg, and a brand new one in it's place. I was not in position to pay more than what her insurance would cover and my other relatives did not help be responsible for the bill. I ended up with a $1,000 bill I could not afford. All of a sudden I got an idea and I became creative and asked for a "Grand Opening Special" discount. My daughter was appalled at my reasoning, and thought I should be not making deals "at a time like this". Hog wash! I had to do something and the mgr went to the owner and with also a prayer from me to God, I got the discount. Yeah! The funeral home is in my mind very m more

Poor Service...Disinterested and Fraught with Mistakes 8/16/2008

Heardhearted Funeral Home\r \r In December 2007, our brother, a Vietnam veteran died. We made the arrangements through Gorsline Runciman. Unfortunately, the funeral director seemed disinterested, leaving the family with much of the work. Due to the lack of follow-up, we him a task list and followed-up regularly in writing with faxes. \r \r In July 2008, our father, a World War II veteran died. His arrangements had already been made through Gorsline Runciman. While making the arrangements, Gorsline Runciman noticed there was an outstanding balance from December 2007. We hadn't received an additional bill and we weren't sure what the additional $493 was for. Initially Gorsline Runciman couldn't explain it either. Investigation showed about 50% of it was a math error made by Gorsline Runciman and another significiant portion was for an incorrect estimate.\r \r Making errors is what Gorsline Runciman is best at ?If you?re looking for a good funeral home don?t use Gorsline Runciman more

smaller funeral home 9/18/2005

We had my grandmothers funeral here and they did a good job. They helped us take care of everything. It is a smaller funeral home that would hold alot of people. The home is very nicely decorated and clean. The employees are very helpful and caring. more

Gorsline is a very nice funeral home. The associates were very kind and caring. They were helpful and knowledgeable. The building is an average size. It would not hold a Large crowd. more
