Furniture Exchange

Just got my new Ashley couch and LOVE IT! Purchased for about 15-20% less at Furniture Exchange than Ashley Showroom in Greenwood. Also ordered a recliner, priced much less than other stores in town. Delivery guys were polite and efficient. Would highly recommend Furniture Exchange. more

Be careful,they tried to do a bait and switch. Showed display merchandise and tried to sell unlike damaged product.\r Not too good customer service. Do not recommend. more

Be VERY sure that you want what you buy- they offer NO returns. \r \r I just bought 2 pieces of furniture from them last week and had not even picked them up from the store yet, but I happened to find the same pieces of furniture somewhere else for half the price that Furniture Exchange charged me. So I went in FE to ask if I could get my money back (seeing as how I had completely paid for the items but had not picked them up yet)- and they said no. All they'll do is give me a store credit, which is lame because I don't plan on purchasing anymore furniture (and especially not from a place as overprices as Furniture Exchange now that I know better). Their logic is that when I paid for the items, they ordered new ones to replace the ones that were sold to me. So I asked if they could hold onto my store credit until they sell the replacement items that were ordered when I bought my furniture and then give me a refund, and they said "No, it says on the receipt no returns or exchanges." more

I think that the Furniture Exchange serves a very definite purpose in Bloomington...provide furniture to Indiana University students when they move out of the dorms. If your taste is even a little more mature, you won't find much to please you. But if you are on a budget and don't have much time, you will do just fine. more

Furniture Exchange is cool if you are trying to exchange your hard earned cash for some used not so great looking furniture that's way overpriced. If you think you are going to exchange your old furniture for some newer cooler stuff and just pay a little difference, you are not. Only go if you can't stand sleeping on the floor anymore. more
